Facts about the new Israeli spot and menu here
Anyone planning on checking this place out? The menu seems simple and reasonable. I might sneak over there for dinner tomorrow to see what it's about.

Why bill Besh first? Shaya....it's Alons food, his name, his heritage. Goodness knows his cooking chops are certainly on par with Beshs.

No time soon but I bet it's delicious.

So why did he need to collab with Besh? That may be your answer as to why his name is first.

Relative of mine went this afternoon. Maybe the first guest.
Had:
baba ganoush
ikra (paddlefish caviar spread)
mixed grill in a pita pocket with sweetbreads and chicken livers.
I'm told everything was excellent and the flavors are off the charts. No subtle flavors here.

I'm hoping he puts Jewish artichokes on the menu at some point.
