The one in Kennahbrah is here to stay apparently.

I have a feeling they're going to bulldoze it and replace it with a meh chain or froyo place.

They can re-open. They just need new buildings.

I don't even mind how the outside looks, really. It's kind of retro. The inside... . Any time I'm there, I just can't look too close.

And the people who own it are super rich and live in one of the gaudiest houses in Old Metairie.

Parents or the kids? I actually really like one of their houses.

They are a nice family though.

They've been talking about it for years. It's always something. He's supposedly got all the land that he wants now. Still, haven't heard of any upcoming plans.

If they wpuld modernize the layout I think they could attract new customers. I like when I do stop by, but as good a selection they have It's not enough for me to pass three walmarts, two Win-Dixie's and three Rouse's to shop at. I wish Whole Foods would move to Kenner in that vacant area by the Mall. Maybe bring some satellite retail with it.

They are one of the rumored tenants to go into the new spot on West Esplanade but I doubt that.

Trust me...the Zuppardos have a lot of money. I honestly don't understand why they wouldn't want to renovate their stores like Rouses and Robert's have. Seems like a lot of the Blue Hairs go there too.

Which tenants are planning on moving into the spot on W.Esplanade in between Power and Williams? That's a HUGE piece of land right there.

I would love for anything to move in there, especially with the Mall about to close down.

It's truly sad what Esplanade has turned into...was a decent mall before Katrina.

Yup, I spent a lot of Friday nights hanging out in the food court and arcade as a child.

Because he supposedly has had this grand master plan but he wanted more land to do it. Couldn't get the land as easily as he thought. Now he finally has the land but everything has changed so much in that time.

So he was going to bulldoze the store on Vets and build a new store on the land?

I remember you saying you worked for Copeland's in the past...do you know what kind of new concept they're coming up with where Cheesecake Bistro was? I figured they shut it down since Cheesecake Factory came to down...what the Copelands need to do is get rid of the heavy, cream-laden food and move towards lighter, more flavorful options that will attract a different customer base.

that movie theater is brand new, but I can get there when a movie starts on a Friday or Saturday and watch the newest movie and still get a great seat with no one around even.

We were at X-men a few Fridays ago and there where less than 25 people in the screening.

I drove by today and that building is for sale.
So I don't thin it's even going to be a Copeland's entity anymore.
It's their own fault that Bistro shut down. they killed the concept when they started selling the same food and having bakeries at the Newer Copeland's.
