Not talking about the fierce snake. The one refered to as a taipan is the one I saw that had chased a guy and bit him many times. It is an aggressive snake. I am sure in most instances the snake will try to get away but in some cases it will chase and attack. Not many snakes do that other than maybe a mamba also when defending itself.

Found this lovable guy when I was checking out the spillway the other day. My cousin and I decided to keep it as a pet and named it fluffy.

Yep. The real taipan is considered a very aggressive snake. All snakes are passive unless provoked. A mamba and a taipan will respond with aggression to any perceived threat.
