Can't really dictate who sees value in certain players, but for the most part, people stay away from that kind of action in the playoffs.

As for the other rules, I think we just need to decide

1. Use ESPN's IR spot or not?

2. Put a cap on games played per week?

3. Draft date and type

6 add/drops was implemented to reduce streaming and I don't think it needs to be tweaked. I think the cap on games is dumb too, but if the majority wants that then whatever.

Adding a bunch of new rules to league that runs pretty well seems dumb.

I make them once every 2-3 years in TDBBL. Karma continues to have 3 top 5 players as keepers, drafts terribly, limps into the playoffs and blows it as usual.

i draft terribly? every year i "draft" a player that no one thinks is good that ends up being kept the next year by someone else.

I added players. My team was weak and I was exploring all my options.

Funny that this is a big deal yet everyone wants to do away with the idea of streaming.

God forbid someone add a player that you want to stream

If one of my players gets injured I'd like the option to replace him without worrying about the guy who went 12-108 picking everybody up off of free agency to try them out for next year

But it's ok for the other teams in the playoffs to pick him up? It's an injury. Deal with it like you would in season.

Yes it's ok for them to pick them up, they can still use them.

exactly. that's the fricking point.

you lost. why should you get a head start on the next season, while people who have done well are still having to worry about this season.

this is the worst part of this league. the advantages that are given to owners who have lost/given up and who are already playing for next year.

your method is far more fricking communist. all the losers gets the spoils.

Then this should not be a keeper league.

Keeper leagues should be year round. That's the fun of it.

The same people that sell out keep your playoff team afloat. Remember that.

man i just can't believe that people are so mad at what happened last year when we had so many teams "in it" to the end

i fricking pussed out and sold out, but i sold out to knot, who i don't think even made it

hell even the "sell out" trades have become less extreme and more reasonable

Yea, that's true. And last year was weird cause of the lockout anyway.

A lot of reactionary rules because of that.

Let's set a smaller cap on FA acquisitions and be done with it. That will settle the biggest issue. This is the red headed step child league anyway, no need for a rule street turn. It's all a crapshoot in the end anyway

agreed

and for IR, let's just add one roster spot. then cap off the transactions at 3 or 4

i don't think we get 75% to deal with the "FA during playoffs" rule, either way

It is year round, but just like every other league in the world there is a period in which free agents can't be picked up.

I think we just need to determine the number per week. I propose 4 but would be OK with 3. What does everyone else think?
