Where is the best place and best price around BR? The thick 2" ones for grilling. TIA

I buy whole boneless Ribeyes and whole strip loins (NY Strips) at Costco, and cut them at home. USDA Prime beef for $10.99-$11.99 per pound. I get about 9 nice thick steaks from either.

Leblancs and rouses have a dry age case.
Alexander's, calandros, whole foods all have premium steaks.

That new Rouses has several different rib eyes and all look good. Bone in, angus, dry aged etc...

I don't live in BR but Costco should be a good place to go.

Rouses and Alexander's have great selections
Costco has good quantity, still a good cut

Bone-in is the only proper way to go imo.

Calandros on Perkins has the creekstone brand. Haven't seen that at any of the other stores.
Their meat always just looks better than the other stores. Seafood... Not so much.

Two problems, first one is Costco doesn't have bone-in whole Ribeyes on display. The boneless ones come vacuum packed from the meat packers. Second is the bones limit flexibility in thickness of steaks.
For Christmas meals I have gone to the Restaurant Depot and bought bone-in whole Ribeyes for roasting. I had to cut them into two sections (it is blasphemous, but one piece gets cooked to medium) and then trimmed and trussed them prior to roasting.

I like the vacuum packed large pieces. Sometimes I buy them and wet age the beef.
When you see choice to sirloin on sale get a whole one and keep it in your refrigerator about 3 weeks and then cut it into 2-3 huge steaks. I can get 3-4 from a whole. I then cook those on the grill and then slice them cross the grain. The whole sirloin weight 12-15 pound and cut the steaks where they weigh 3-4 pounds. One feeds the family easily and you can serve the edges to those that like their beef closer to well and the middle is closer to rare.
I have bought the whole ribeyes too and aged them the same way.

Absolutely go to Alexanders Highland Market. They have the best steaks you will find anywhere.

Along with what's been mentioned, Tramonte's needs to be tossed into that mix.

I like Chris's specialty meats. If you call ahead, they will cut whatever you want.
