Please excuse my culinary ignorance.

Can Lobster be boiled like crawfish? With all the same seasonings?

There must be something wrong with it because i don't think many or any do it this way?

Whats the deal.

Most lobster are steamed with little to no seasoning. Yes, you can boil and season as you wish. I like to steam them with more seasoning than you'll see in Maine.

The now closed Coffee's Boiling Pot in Madisonville used to do crawfish boil style lobster on Thursdays. Pretty damned good. I am not sure of the cooking/soak times involved.

I've streamed then, but if it's tails I mind them broiled.

I prefer the sweet of lobster with salted water and dipped in clarified lemon butter. Crawfish seasoning ruins the flavor for me. I don't find that lobster needs that push. I do like it prepared other ways with other flavors, though those are more complimentary to me. Individual taste.

They don't really pick up the seasoning. Grill them...

I did a lobster cook for a Christmas party at a small company I used to work for. Used empty tuna cans in my crawfish pot to keep the basket out the water. Seasoned it with dry and liquids crab boil and lemons in the water. Can't remember the cook time but they came out great.

Disagree. My dad used to boil them crawfish style, and they were very well seasoned. They were great. I don't know the techniques he used unfortunately.

Boiling is fine. Google the time but it is like 12 minutes for a 1.5 lb lobster.
