I will be in Chicago in early January for 5 days and need some recommendations. Its a work trip but my wife (no pics) will be tagging along and we should have plenty of time to eat each night.

Someone mentioned the Signature Room but from what I have read, the food is hit or miss. Is it worth it just going for drinks after dinner?

We went to Balena back in July. I found the food decent, but VERY salty. I thought it might have been just me, but we had a table of 12 and everyone said the same thing. There is a breakfast place called Wildberry that was fantastic.

Any other recs on food for Chicago in the higher end market?

I found a late spot at Spiaggia, but reviews are all over the place.

Any thoughts on Sepia?

Maybe even something along the lines of a Domenica would be cool.
