Best King Cake bakery for shipping

I want to send a king cake to someone out of state. Best bakery in Metairie or Nola to go to?

Cajun Pecan House in Galliano makes the best King Cakes ever known to man.

My daughter says Sucre. We sent her both a Randazzos and a Sucre last year. Sucre was her favorite of the two.

I like Sucre, as well, but it's different from the traditional. I like the shiny icing.

When I order one up here I always get one of these. My mom sent me one from Sucre last year, it was good but it was different. It wasn't the King Cake I grew up on.

Sucre is a very pretty cake, but nowhere near the best. Even once it is warmed up it is average.

Haydels. They def. put the most estra stuff in the package to make the out of state folks appreciate the package.

AGREE...the pecan house in cut off,la makes the best...Maybe a little pricey but well worth it

I've done both Randazzo's and Haydels in the past. Last year we made our own from scratch. That was quite the experience. Turns out the recipe we used (John Folse's I believe) made a gigantic cake! Will definitely do it again, but likely cut the recipe in half.
