Season 4 of BB is the best season of any show ever. Season 3 is probably in the top 5 as well.

I enjoyed Season 1 and thought it was pretty quality TV, but I can absolutely see how it would turn some people off. It hadn't quite come into its own yet.

I'm of the opinion that this show gets better with every episode and peaks perfectly as one of the greatest ever.

Ditto. It was a good show, but it seemed to get better and better as it went along.

Like the overwhelming majority of shows, it takes a little time to really gets its legs and feel its way out. S1 is basically just laying the groundwork for the whole rest of the series. Personally I dug every season, but I can see how people say S1 wasn't all that great.

this. few shows hit the ground running, the possible exception being the UK version of 'the office' (but in that instance, the finish line was much closer, so it was probably necessary to have everything figured out ahead of time). i took my time with BB's first season & a half....but then, something clicked, and all of a sudden i found myself watching blocks of episodes at a time. hell, even with 'the shield' (my fave show), i started slow with it, but once the characters got their legs under them, it was non-stop viewing for me....
