Season 4 of BB is the best season of any show ever. Season 3 is probably in the top 5 as well.

I think that is one thing that makes it so great... There isn't a hero/villain all the way through. You root for one person and then a few episodes later, you are rooting for someone completely different.

I was the same way.

We watched the first 3 or 4 episodes and didn't start watching it again for another 6 months or so.

However, once we started watching it again, we watched 4.5 seasons in about a month.

I missed the first two seasons. It wasnt an topic/concept I found interesting.

Got tired of hearing "I can't believe YOU don't watch BB", "It's something I know you would like", etc.

Borrowed the first 2 seasons on dvd from a friend, watched them addictively, and then watched the last 3 seasons live.

One of my all-time favorite tv shows, and maybe the best-written tv show ever.

And I'm not saying the writing doesn't stand out, as it has some fairly brilliant dialogue - but, for the most part, it isn't riding on writing - this show rides on that rare synergy of "everything is clicking" - you see it in the shows that get chatter about being GOAT - Sopranos, The Wire, The Shield, even GoT - while each of these shows might have a weak spot, they were consistently not just good, but great - Breaking Bad is in this rare company.

This fricking show.

God dammit.

I only like Fargo more, and that's because I adore the atmosphere and surreal quality of Fargo. Granted, I've heard after Season Two this thing gets more awesome, so I'm going to reserve judgement for a bit.

Almost done with Season Two, and my new job doesn't start for a few days, so I'm going to try to just stock up on beers and watch the hell out of it.

Haven't read any post above b/c I just know there's spoilers somewhere throughout. My g/f is in the same boat as you were. We've watched 4 or 5 episodes so far and she just isn't into it. Neither of us has ever heard anyone say that this show was anything less than great, so I'm trying to push her/us to keep watching. I know it HAS to pick up at some point with all the talk surrounding this show, just hope it happens soon so I can keep her interested in it! (I don't know how much more of American Horror Story I can take!!)

S1 is only like 6 or 8 episodes right?

Like the overwhelming majority of shows, it takes a little time to really gets its legs and feel its way out. S1 is basically just laying the groundwork for the whole rest of the series. Personally I dug every season, but I can see how people say S1 wasn't all that great.

Just keep watching. Everything keeps building on top of itself...the show will end up going in directions that you probably can't even imagine right now.

I tried out episode 1 while binge watching Lost. Terrible idea, but I gave it another go about a month ago and watched the entire series in 3 weeks.

It was great

For whatever reason, I feel as if I like the show less every time I see one of these threads. Not sure why, and no offense to the OP, just almost like building a rep I'm not sure it deserves.

I agree after getting further into BB.

I still love the atmosphere and style of Fargo, but yeah, BB is better.
