Yes unless windy like on the coast but there has to vicious skeeters to bite during a strong wind. Saw it more than once though.

I love mine. I also keep some Bounce drier sheets in my pack too. They work like a champ and dont cost very much.

I bought a backup in case I lose my backup. Definitely as good as advertised except I've never used mine for 12 hours. Also keep in mind that heat rises, once put mine on a patio table only to have the skeeters start biting my legs until I moved it to the floor.

How does it do with gnats? Hunting/Fishing in Venice and the mosquitos aren't normally the main issue. Gnats are the problem. Have tried the vanilla mixture with limited success. Looking for something else.

Any brand has worked for me, I pretty much always keep berts around, so I tend to use that more than anything else.
