It definitely has. It will probably stay echostage for a while going forward, though. It's hugely popular right now. Too popular, actually. Moving around isn't easy.

Solid scenery

Does the state palace theater count? 2500 of your closest rave friends in one venue. Miss that place.

735 was a pretty cool dance venue on bourbon. Saw tiesto there a few times there, ferry corsten, and Donald glaude, to name a few.

Also went to rain, moon, and the playboy club at the palms back in 2007. Pretty fun for my bachelor party.

Would love to go to ministry of sound one day.
If I was single again I would travel out that way to attend some of the events you go to.

Call Of The Wild.

Not even sure the place was legal, and could only be reached by boat or plane some parts of the year. Awesome place, probably one of the last of it's kind.

Stark Club/Area 51 - Dallas (late 90s/early 2000s)
1st Dallas club with co-ed bathrooms. Sold X at the bar before it was made illegal.

I used to love to go to Nick's Uptown and Club Tango on lower Greenville for bands. After the owner declared bankruptcy, they turned Nick's into a dance club called Fast and Cool Club which became Fish Dance and then The Red Jacket. It was right across the street from a bar called Grennville Ave. Country Club that had a swimming pool built into their patio. Always went there and drank after seeing a band. or crossed the other street and ate at Snuffers. Tango had the dancing frogs on their roof. When it closed they moved them to a club next to a Harley Davidson dealer on Harry Hines.

Saw SRV, B.B. King & Chaka Khan together at Nicks one night. Saw SRV & Double Trouble a couple of times as well as Todd Rundgren, Bugs Henderson, Albert Collins, Brave Combo. Nicks had a lot of the same bands as Tipitina's back then.

Saw Tina Turner at Tango but I also saw local bands no one ever heard of there too, even some people I was friends with played there.

Went to some rock clubs like The Ritz on Harry Hines a few times and went to the Twilite Room a few times with a New Wave musician friend.

All in Dallas.

Used to go there when it was still World Beat while I was in HS. They changed it to 735 while I was in college. Loved the way you could look down from multiple floors down onto the dance floor. Such a strange layout for a dance club in general - but it worked as well as it possibly could despite it.

State Palace was probably my all time favorite.

BUT I will say that my husband and I got a table at Prive in Vegas in 08 and this was right when Lady Gaga's song Just Dance came out on the radio and she was performing that night. It was nuts. The table beside us was USC players. Our bouncer escorted me to the stage and would throw people out of my way wherever I wanted to go. It was awesome until I blacked out and my husband said I was tigerbaiting the USC players and almost threw up in the trashcan. He said the bouncer picked me up and carried me to some private elevator and out to some side entrance and put us in car to our hotel. Good times!
