Did I miss Clark’s name on that list???

If a finalist for the Butkus Award isn't good enough to make this team, this team is a joke.

Boutte 3rd string
No Clark
8 running backs and no TDP
They got this list from Wish

PFF for college is an absolute joke. They clearly have 0 clue about anything. The nations leading tackler and Butkus finalist isn’t even a top 8 LB in the SEC.

I tried to tell yall how bad Damone graded out at the beginning of the year. It was bad bad. Being in the wrong holes, catching blocks 10 yards back and struggling in coverage.
I agree he an outstanding player and has played awesome last few games. Even wore 18 proud. Made some really great plays this past week.
Improved a ton and made some money. But doesn't cover for grading him out play by play.

And he will be drafted higher than most if not all on this list. And that is from someone who said he shouldn't be playing in the SEC at the beginning of the year. He has come a long ways since then and that team should be about who is the BEST at this time and that is Damone Clark.

so there's 8 LB's in the SEC better than the leading tackler in college football.

That’s because PFF is an advanced statistical model that grades you on every play against everyone else who plays the same position. While Clark has racked up tackles but he’s been an awful LB within the scope of the position.
He had a great game vs aTm though.

Always wondered this - is Jordan Battle related to John?
Posted on 11/29/21 at 3:45 pm to TexasTiger88
That's a pretty weak list overall

If you really do downvote this you are blind because it's the truth and this list literally proves to you with the stats and numbers. Sorry.

He’s been awful within the scope of his position?? Not this year. He’s been making plays all over the field. He always finds the football and is around the tackle. He has played his roll very well this year. I don’t know how you can even say that. Like he’s somehow making tackles while doing everything wrong. Like they just trip over him.

It's also the reason Neil is on the 1st team. He is by no means the best DL even on our own team. But..His grade versus the run is incredible. He has been extremely outstanding at stopping the run and very good at deflecting passing.

Because he is a freak of an athlete. And with more NFL coaching I think he can be really good in the NFL. Just found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time too many times. Still made outstanding plays. And both can be true.

Why is he a Butkus finalist then? They don’t know how to evaluate LB play?
Posted on 11/29/21 at 3:52 pm to TexasTiger88
So Jordan Davis for Georgia is on Heisman watch but not a first teamer. Got it! List is trash
Posted on 11/29/21 at 3:59 pm to TexasTiger88
It sucks not seeing Clark listed, but to PFF, their in house ratings/grades mean everything. They're typically consistent with how they grade.
Posted on 11/29/21 at 3:59 pm to TexasTiger88
List is garbage without Clark listed somewhere. I guess they don't watch the games...
