So if this Super League happens, I fully expect Swansea City to be promoted back to PL tonight.
I’m wishful thinking today.

You mean like FIFA, UEFA, Etc... This is the first time they are facing any sort of a outside competition and their response is to ban the competition...
FIFA and UEFA are governing bodies that let just about anyone join, and all members have some degree of say in the organization.
The Super League is an exclusionary setup imagined by owners who want to avoid competition.

Swansea would be included in the Super League, you can’t have a super league without the class of Wales

West Brom can stay up to represent the Midlands when Wolves join the new league

Yep. It's literally no different than the NCAA

It’s not outside competition
It’s literally a closed league which ensure the rich keep all the money
It will essentially kill the game

They promote competition through basically every major countries football system which allows teams to rise the latter
This new league does away with that

How positive are we that this new league will happen?

There isn’t loyalty to the pyramid by the owners.
With the cost of players, it’s difficult to drive a ROI on owning a team. This Super League basically drives towards ensuring financial returns and to hell with tradition.
Most clubs don’t make massive profits
They just want to break even
You have these American owners coming in trying to Americanize the game in a closed system
It’s stupid

I can’t link Twitter but it looks like it happened.

I'm not talking about competition within the game. I'm talking about competition for the organization itself.
We aren't in disagreement about the super league.
