Whoever it is, they're doing it across multiple threads. Not just nerds.

Bass Fishing

Those who consider themselves fishermen of other species look down those who seek largemouth bass but chasing trophy bass is deeply nuanced.

Me too. Unfortunately I’ll drink too much on a night like tonight and order some shite like that on eBay. When a package arrives in the middle of the week I will wonder what I bought.

Old maps

You’re not the only one I’ve seen post this, so I’ll ask...do you have an old collection of road maps or what? What’s the main thing that makes old ones more appealing than a current one?

Audio Editing - I have been somewhat obsessed with talented musicians and singers, many from other countries (and some in foreign languages). I enjoy editing the audio from performances they post on YouTube or Facebook. I burn my own CDs to listen in the car and in some cases have as much as 4 glorious hours and 65 songs from just one artist.

Photography - the virus has thrown a bit of a wrench in this one as people social distance, and my favorite subjects are people. Now here's the weird related habit - Clothing Stylist. As a single parent of a female model/singer/actress I had to take her shopping for outfits. It became a habit, browsing the sale racks for clothing and accessories, primarily for fashion/glamour photography, but sometimes I'd just buy good items at sale prices just to donate or give away (battered women's shelters/disaster relief, gifts, etc.). I have a variety of things from dresses and shoes to leather jackets, swimwear and scuba wet suits. No, none of it fits me. The latest items I acquired are two Greek fisherman caps. This one is worth about $30 retail. The other one is a gray Manokhi Toukitsou wool cap that retails for over $300. I got them for $5 each.

Camping gear. I’ll read descriptions, tech specs and reviews. I’ll watch instructional videos and video reviews (love me some CrazyRussian videos).

Also, I can’t pass an REI without stopping.

I seem to have phases; right now it’s music. Before Thanksgiving, we were listening to something and I mentioned I wanted to play it on guitar. Now we have 3 guitars, a full size keyboard and my husband has started building guitars. It’s fun and it helps to make winter tolerable.
