QB from 1993 Florida game (Wuerffel? I think as a freshman) and 2001 Grossman were unbelievable. But they had amazing receivers as well.

Shaun Alexander's 291 and tds was a one man show. Unreal. With out a doubt, SA.

Not really. LSU's whole defense got run over that night. The gaps were pretty wide everywhere you looked. All SA had to do was run straight ahead.

Same thing with Grossman in '01. There were wide open Gators streaking all over the field, and nobody was getting close to sacking him.

How many yards did Kenny Irons get on us a couple years ago? I remember not being able to tackle that sonofabitch.

Oh yeah, I forgot, it was all the oline that night...and Freddie Kitchens had softened up the defense with his stellar passing game too. SAlex just ran straight ahead, Tommy Banks could have done it

Dalton Hilliard vs Florida State - Nov. 1982

Probably my best childhood memory.
That night was absolutely perfect.
The thick fog, raining oranges, and Dalton Hilliard running wild. It was beautiful.

Maybe the UF kicker in '87 who missed a chip shot at the end of the game to lose 13-10?

Robert McGinty. If for some reason LSU ever feels compelled to award a 'letter' to an opposing player,he should be the first. He played at Auburn in 1984 and missed a 44 yd fg in the last minute of Auburn's 17-15 loss to Alabama( this was a possession or two after Auburn's infamous 'Bo going the wrong way')when Auburn was a big favor and it enabled us to go to the Sugar Bowl after Florida was declared ineligible.

Pat Dye humiliated the poor guy and all but kicked him off the team and he transfered to Florida. After sitting out the 1985 season,he made a 52 yd fg in the 4th qtr for Florida to beat Auburn 18-17 as Auburn finished 4-2 behind LSU's 5-1 SEC mark in '86.

Then of course, was his miss at the end of the 1987 game.

Pursplehaze (pre internet persona) going into the LSU/Notre Dame game we won by a 28-8 score and not remembering a single thing thanks to 1 fifth of Southern Comfort before the game and who knows what else during and after the game.

good call -

for those who don't remember, in '96 LSU opened against Houston, and were down 34-14 in the fourth quarter. if i remember correctly, on the first play of the 4th, Faulk returned a punt for a TD, and LSU scored two more TD's to win the game 35-34.

Has my vote also.

Opening game of 1996 season. My first game as a student. Faulk scores 3 TD in 4th to win the game.

LSU could not get the guy down. He was a man amoungst boys that night.

Also, Sean Alexander's 3 quarters of dominance stands out in my mind.

For one more, I don't remember the year but Emmit Smith torched LSU one night and it was very painful to watch. I think Florida put 40+ on us that night.

Fall 1996. An amazing second half comeback led by #3. It ranks pretty high up there in Tiger Stadium history.

Quincy Carter in 1998 for Georgia. He was 28-32 with 4 tds. Thats just sick, I don't care that it was against possibly with worst LSU defense ever.
