Kevin Faulk against Houston

When casting this vote, did you consider the fact that it was Faulk's fumbles that got us into the big hole in the first place?

Rohan Davey's performance against Tennessee in 2000 was probably one of the guttiest performances ever by a Tiger. Maybe not the greatest in terms of statistics, etc., but one of the guttiest, and most inspiring performances I can remember.

If I remember correctly Josh Reed was a monster that game, too. One of the great receiving performances aside from his absolute slaughter of bammer.
Ro was a stud that game. He had a hell of a game against Miss State that year, too. (Away, though, huh)

The two that come to mind for me are Cecil vs. Auburn and (unfortunately) Alexander running for 2 miles against our D.

Leland McElroy had a great game ypc against us in 1994, 11 carries for 132 yards. However, that was eclipsed the next year at the opening of the Dinardo era in College Station where he ran for 235 yards (that's why I always remember his 1994 performance as being better than it was).

Darren McFadden, 2007 was almost as impressive as Shaun Alexander, almost...

While I was at that game, and it will remain the greatest LSU game for me until something equally big happens, and Hester was outstanding, it's tough for a LSU RB to be compared with Cecil the Diesel's owning of Auburn. Looked like a blend of Herschel Walker and Bo Jackson...like a pro playing with high school players. BUT Hester did have a great game against Florida in 2007.

Had Josh Reed's blistering of Bama occurred in Baton Rouge instead of Tuscaloosa, that would be the one candidate to challenge Cecil versus Auburn (as far as an LSU performance). It would also rival Shaun Alexander and DMac.

I have a buddy who is a Bama alum/fan and he has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from that performance, kind of like we do re: the Shaun Alexander thing. Most Bama fans (to their credit) just say, "Damn, he had a great day."

Carlos Carson 5 TD's in 1977 vs Rice...hands down! Oh....his first catch in the next game (can't remember the team) was for a TD too. 6 TD catches in a row...now that's special.

You know, it's because of the whole highlight, ESPN era that we forget players like Carson and performances like that - it was vs. Rice, but it was a great performance.

Not to mention a thing of beauty to behold. The TD receptions in the Rice game tied the NCAA record for most TD receptions in a single game. It was Rice, but still a phenomenal performance.

I have to get a vote in here for DB Robert Davis in the 1998 Alabama game.

If anyone else in the history of football has had two 4th Quarter come from behind TD passes bounce off of your helmet and into the receivers hands because you don't know how to turn your head, please let me know.

Definitely a once in a lifetime performance. Somewhere in Alabama, Andrew Zow is having someone pay for his beer and he is thanking Robert Davis.

LSU 77 Rice 0 Carson 5 TD catches
LSU 36 Florida 14 Carson 1 TD catches

What also makes that record so incredible is that it was 6 STRAIGHT, CONSECUTIVE catches.

The fan who threw the made field goal "ball" by the Georgia kicker OUT OF THE STADIUM in '03. The Georgia kicker didn't make another field goal the whole game. Runner up would be the "mooners" in the 2000 Bama Game
