I'm almost positive JBE pays some of these fricking dooms-day idiots to post on here.

This is why you never give the government an inch, ever.

It is becoming clear that is all about stealing as many votes as possible to get Trump out of office. This is all a push for mail in votes in some key states

As long as that spike stays under the “healthcare capacity” level, it is no excuse to keep people out of work.

One more thing to keep in mind, now that it seems we have identified who is at risk are we really surprised that the Dems are going to shut things down? Most of the "at risk" seem to be constituents of theirs.

And we have two more weeks of these measures. No reason to think that by the end of April we will have substantially flattened the curve
I am still optimistic about that.

Don't be so hard on JBE, all the governors are saying the same thing.
Don't put this evil on all of us. Just because you goobs voted in JBE doesnt mean the rest of us are idiots.

Asa isn't perfect, but he beats the brakes off JBE.

Also like this quote from Wyoming's governor:
quote:

If you're waiting for me to issue a shelter-in-place order... what are you waiting for? Are you waiting for, 'mother may I?' Or are you taking care of yourself and practicing the common sense that we expect? One of our Wyoming values is 'talk less, say more'. Our orders talk less and say more

frick that. shite needs to stay opening back up May 1st. Slowly ramp things up. Let restaurants have 20-30 people in there at a time spread out, etc.

Dumb.

This is real simple, just listen.

IF YOU ARE A HIGH RISK PERSON STAY THE frick AWAY FROM OTHERS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Period.

Everybody else should get back after it.
We’re closing the world down for sick, old and fat people.
It’s beyond ridiculous.

People are just starting to get their Trump bucks and $600+ unemployment. The sheep will stay calm as long as the money is coming is coming in.

What's the at risk population? In LA that's 70% of the population. The not at risk population then become vectors for the spread. JBE, and Trump, are in a no-win position.

So what. Get out of the way and let people take risk and live their lives.

I'm amazed and saddened at how many reasonable people support government telling us we can't go to Church, can't visit loved ones, can't have little league baseball, can't go out to eat or to the movies.

And I bet a lot of them are the same ones who used to cry about the "pussification of America".

When all of these governors including JBE say we need robust rapid testing, anti body testing, and contact tracing before we can go back. None of those things currently exist in large numbers and won’t be showing up in two weeks or likely even 4 weeks.

This is why sweeping government action like this is a problem. No exit strategy, no plan on how to get things back to normal.

I wasn't a fan of this shutdown as my thought is the spread is past tense. The results of this pandemic were proven by the cruise ship results (which was the perfect floating lab experiment on the spread and effects on a population).

Once government gets power they typically keep it.

Weeks ago I said the same and was scolded as being an alarmist. When you see how tightly these state governors hold on to this control it will prove the point.

Typical toothless mouth breathing Louisiana mentality right here.

Yeah, the whole idea behind the shutdown was to "flatten the curve" so we dont' overload the hospitals. The hospitals have not been overloaded and are in no danger of being overloaded, but Governor Boucher isn't going to let those emergency fed dollars stop coming in over something as trivial as people's jobs!

This is like saying "They told us not to go outside in the rain or we'd get wet, but here were are sitting inside COMPLETELY dry. They were all full of it! Let's go outside now!"

If it's anything like here, they are all going to Wal-Mart, Home Depot, or Lowe's.
