Have a Croatia trip booked for the end of May. Still planning on it at the moment.

Our concern is not that we'd catch the virus but that we could be stranded overseas or be placed under quarantine arriving back.

My concern as well...heading to Amsterdam & Bruges in mid-April. Both countries still low right now, but cases have picked up the last couple days.

We can’t miss that much work if we get stopped coming back, and a 2-3 week quarantine with a toddler doesn’t sound like my kind of fun

Yeah we are there at almost the same time but end in Paris.

In two weeks we will monitor the situation and maybe see if we can have our flight go out of elsewhere and eliminate Paris.

Supposed to go with the wife to Toronto end of April. She going for work. Big debate on if they’re still doing the conference.

I only have to buy a plane ticket, so if it’s cancelled I’m not out anything other than this is the first Extended trip alone with Mrs Prez in about 4 years.

I actually booked a cruise last week for September. I don't think this Corona mess will still be going on by then. We shall see.

Yeah, it's paranoia because I have a supposed trip coming up in April, which we're watching and Viking just gave us an out with a 24 hour notice, but I watch "the map" daily. Gone from 89,213 since I started Saturday and is now up to 94,209 in more countries.

I get more people die from the common flu yada yada, and they don't have maps for deaths by texting while driving etc., but when WHO says we're in "uncharted waters", well...

I keep naively hoping for some magical down turn and return to normal chaos.

had to cancel my trip today to Amsterdam/Antwerp/London/Paris. Supposed to leave next Saturday. It was a work trip with some personal time as well, but the company halted all international travel. I had non-refundable tickets and they still gave me the full voucher with no change fees to use anytime in the next year. Sucks.

From what I understand both are pretty much unaffected. It’s just the north. But I would be more worried about getting quarantined than actually getting it.

KLM has a waiver for all travel now if your ticket starts with 074. You can postpone or get a credit for 1 year. Pushing the trip to 2nd half of the year.

Go for it. Me and my wife are still flying to London Friday, Paris on the 11th, and Rome on the 13th.

We’ve talked it over, we aren’t going to let hysteria keep us from having memories for a lifetime. We’re prepared to be clean freaks while we’re over there. Everything I read on TripAdvisor forums from people there on the ground say everything’s fine. They may check our temperature upon arrival, they may give us an exam once we arrive back in Denver. But I can work from home and so can she, we’ll do a quarantine if we have to once we get back.

We’re not living our lives based on what could happen. We’re goin for it, unless flights get cancelled and we have no choice. But everything is a go right now.

With the incubation period we won’t be there long enough to show symptoms before we come back anyways.

Wife and I considered going even though my company trip was cancelled. We aren’t scared of the corona, more that we might get quarantined for some dumb reason upon returning. Can’t be in Europe for 9 days and then get stuck for 2-3 weeks in quarantine when we have kids. It was hard enough to ask the parents to play mom and dad for a week with school and sports.

Several of us are on a business trip to Russia next week. The trip is still on. They are giving us masks and hand sanitizer for the trip. Really inspires confidence.

This is for the what's it's worth column..

We went to dinner last night at a restaurant where they hosted somebody from Florence. Didn't have the gnads to ask him when he actually got here so hopefully he's been in the States before all that crap happened. I didn't shake his hand for what it's worth.

Anyway he and his wife own a number of apartments and a villa that they rent out. He said they've already lost over 40,000 in Euros from bookings cancelled.

The economic devastation of this virus will be very impactful.
