The flare in Geismer has been shaking ground at night the last few nights.

I love how all these women on FB are the main ones commenting and reporting what’s going on as if they were there.

Who files the first class action suit four fear and fright?
It’s been a long time ago, but a lawsuit was filed against my company by someone in prison at the time. Said he was in his jail cell and heard the explosion from a fire at the plant. He feared for his life and felt trapped.

Same low-quality posts. Good catch.

The firewater system there has more leaks than the Government
Seeing this way more often than I’d like to see in the petrochemical industry.

Well, when you go on the cheap for pumps and valves, that's what happens. "It's just a water system" - don't get the good stuff.

Yes I did, I'm all about consistency.

A lot of new construction calls for HDPE firewater piping, the problem is, they are now finding out that all of the benzene in the ground in all of these facilities eats the HDPE and causes leak problems.

I’m hearing a pipe rack is in post 89 fire shape. If it’s even half way close, that’s not good news.

I'm no health nut, but that doesn't sound healthy for the local community.

Aromatic properties are probably gone.

So this fire was mainly because of a faulty firewater system leaking gas? It wasn't tied to a specific unit?
Posted on 2/14/20 at 8:25 am to Sandtrap
I don't think a fire occured due to a firewater system not working/ having leaks. I think the correct use of words would be they had trouble extinguishing the fire due to a faulty fw system
Also if you dig in the ground in certain areas of a lot of these plants you are required to have a 4 gas meter or something equivalent. I've seen where the chemicals in the ground set the meter off and they are physically overwhelming so I think the aromatics are still there and yes they are not good for the environment.
