Nah it’s south of the old bridge. Refinery. Closer to ST cap.

I was able to see it clearly at my plant, and I'm at the base of the old bridge. It's on the north side of Exxon closer to hwy190 then the capital.

Yeah I meant the Exxon facility closest to the state capital. It looks like it’s on the N side of the plant and closer to the old bridge.

Whoever said pipe stills has lost their credibility.

Exxon plant fire in Baton Rouge started from inside building, not an explosion: BRPD LINK

I can promise you that Exxon just fed the Advocate a crock shite. I work maybe a half mile from where this happened. Our power flashed, and knocked some of our equipment off line. I have some good pics and video of it, and this was no Building fire.

You honestly think Exxon is gonna say that they fricked up? Hell no. they are gonna spin this one just like the fire they had about 3 or 4 years ago.

It said “started from inside a building.”
It didn’t say it was totally contained in building.

Yeah. Just looking at Twitter you can see the reports of loud boom around 1135-1140.

Just talked to my buddy that works there and was called in to go help. He said no one was injured.

Hearing about it being from a building and lights flickering makes me wonder if they had a transformer fail and the oil from the tank is what is/was on fire.

Damn, Baws. That looks pretty bad. Y'all stay safe. For anybody in the area, are the news helicopters there yet?

Like someone said, this is happening way too often. What is the security like at refineries like this? cameras everywhere, etc.?

1) not much more lax than a nuke plant
2) what does that have to do with this?

Dang, - lots of security- that's good news.
Really don't know nothing about them here, which is obvious.
