think you are thinking f40. There was only one black f40, the Gas Money Ferrari.
F50 came in three colors, yellow, black and red.
Also Brian Williams (Baby/Birdman) had a yellow one in NOLA in the early 00's,
Only 2 black F50s were made in US spec
The gas monkey f40 was originally red

I went to the Petersen automotive museum in L.A. this week and saw a lot of really rare stuff. The vault tour is legit.

I like vehicles from the 1980s and early 1990s. Just plain basic stuff like Oldsmobile. I’d love to find a mint Delta 88.

In a neighborhood in Auburn last weekend and one of the houses had a McLaren, 2 new Merecedes, and a new Jaguar parked in front. Asked one of the neighbors and he said that’s where the crazy rich Asians live.

I love car museums. One of the most interesting is the Lane museum in Nashville. 99% of the collection is stuff that never sold in america.
Plus they have an amphibious truck that can carry four tanks. It's tires are bigger than bigfoot's
Lots of cool foreign rare cars.

The Azure Blue one?
Nice rare car either way. I had a 70 W30 Holiday auto for 25 years. Always wanted a 4 speed.

Former saints plyer. It's for sale at. Gonzles used car lot.
Test drove it, smooth, powerful, but the interior is trashed and they want more than what he paid for it a year ago.

So yeah I definitely saw something interesting lately. I was driving home along the Peninsula on South I-280 when I hit traffic in Palo Alto. As I was crawling along, I see this old Ford Falcon that had a number plate and logos on it like a race car. The car was all cleaned up, looking sweet, with no scratches or dents that I could see, and it sounded great. It had a beefy thumping sound but it wasn't too loud. So I was looking over this thing closely over the few miles that I was near it, and I saw that it had a sticker that said "Rally of the Incas 2016." So that gave me the lead to look it up, and here is the car that I saw, a 1963 Falcon:
I found these pics along with many others from the rally that went through Argentina, Chile and Peru here:

Regarding the sound, I looked it up, and in 1963 Ford offered a V8 option. I think this is what this car had, because in the blog of another participent in the rally, he mentioned slow traffic going through a town and the "hot Ford Falcons with their nascar engines all fouling up and having to rev them up as they would not idle."
I also found more pictures of the car on a page for the shipping company that brought it back to California after the rally:

Oh, I almost forgot, while I still had the Falcon in sight, I came upon a McLaren 650s. Even though McLaren has a dealership in Palo Alto, I never see McLarens on the road (this was only the 2nd or 3rd time I've seen one on the road). So I had both of these cars in sight at the same time, and I concluded that the Falcon was cooler. It just had way more "presence," especially with that beefy sound.

I have an old '61 MGA sitting in my garage, same color.
Not in that condition, though.
One day maybe I'll get to restore it.
I see a red and black MGA around Lafayette once in a while.
