no, not really. But I'm sure it seems like a new thought to the OP.

If they would raise TOPS requirements, eliminate student loans and income based scholarships the problem would take care of itself.

The Acadiana region gets a school, and the Northern Louisiana region gets a school. Then there are two other schools located in the two largest cities in the state.

Shreveport is the third largest city. Acadiana gets one. North LA gets two mainly bc it would serve central LA too and the other two cities get one each.

Clearly, you can see there are three other universities listed in his post. And who tf takes a "logic" course? If that was the title of a course at your alma mater then it should be the first one closed.

(Xaiver, Dillard, Loyola, LC, Tulane, Centenary) they not only take some of the best students that would go to public universities

WAT?

All of those, except Tulane, are demographic schools and pull very few exceptional students from the public system.

Shreveport, Monroe, and Alexandria metro populations are about equal to the Acadiana metro + the Lake Charles metro in terms of population.

Louisiana Tech is the better choice because it's just a better school than LSUS.

You do know that "Tier 1" is an actual ranking for universities right?

LSU and Louisiana Tech are the only public universities that are listed as Tier 1 in Louisiana.

Nuh-uh. NSU is the better choice because it's the most centrally located.

No, it's not. It's a colloquial generalization of prestige and also as classification buckets from USNWR. Tech used to be tier 1 according to USNWR, but it looks like they've been dropped to tier 2 this year.

ETA: According to the Carnegie Foundation for research activity, LSU and Tulane are R1, ULL is R2, LaTech and ULM are R3, and McNeese and SELU are unclassified.

R1: highest research activity
R2: higher research activity
R3: moderate research activity
