Don't let any test result tell YOU how you FEEL.

If you are physically having a good day, you are having a good day. Quality of life over artificial quantity.... Easy for me to say from this keyboard.

Sorry to hear.

Lovelsu, I’ve been one of your biggest fans from day 1! You beat it once and just because a doctor determines the amount of time you have left doesn’t mean he’s right. Your amazing positive attitude and willingness to live your life to its fullness is so inspiring. Keep kicking this things arse. You have the entire support of the OT!

very sorry to hear this. But like others have said keep fighting. Praying for you! Cancer is evil and wicked, as it has taken a grandparent, parent, and son of mine. This is why we all need to keep fighting for a cure!

lovelsu, I am approaching one year since my diagnosis with stage IV. Since I had mets to the liver I was not a candidate for the whipple. I was given 6-9 months initially. I have responded fairly well to chemo, however they had to change my regimen recently since my tumor marker was starting to go up. I try not to focus on the bad side of this horrible disease, but keep hope alive some kind of breakthrough treatment will surface.

It sucks this cancer has such a low survival rate, but I read stories of those who make it. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep up the fight and hold onto the hope a treatment option becomes available that puts your cancer in remission.

I am sorry to hear about your prognosis. Pancreatic cancer is difficult to control. A number of novel and possibly effective treatments are on the horizon; I recently read about this new radiopharmaceutical developed in Germany. It builds upon our extensive experience with Lu-177 - a well tolerated and effective isotope that is currently used to treat neuroendocrine tumors and prostate cancers. If other treatments fail, you may be a candidate for this treatment.

I will pray for your continued strength and peace of mind.

I have the utmost confidence in saying that if you need us to hold a fundraiser so your husband could take a couple weeks off from work, we could do it. Lots of great people on this site, and we all need the tailgate practice.

Thanks you so much for the offer BR but we are trying to keep life as normal as possible. He took off for six weeks to take care of me when I had the surgery. He has the vacation time - we just need to save it when for when things start going downhill.
This is the reason I love this board. All of us can be jerks at times but when the going gets tough everyone pulls together - it's family

lovelsu, you will continue to be in my prayers. I have said earlier, your grit reminds me of the Iona College motto, “Certa Bonum Certamen”, “Fight the Good Fight”. Keep it up. As former Iona College men’s basketball coach, Jimmy V. said, “Don’t give up. Don’t ever give up”.

I am in awe of your fight and your courage in the face of the inevitable end we will all meet. God Bless You!
