Just having one team is super nice. I was so stressed last year. But not yet.

My losing of interest seemed to start last year. I still love it, but I usually find myself not following the games as they happen after a couple months

I'm more of a crack addict than ever when it comes to this crap.

Yes, but it's mostly due to having a 1 year old. Just don't have time like I used to.

Having 10 month old twins has definitely restructured my priorities. I'm in 2 money leagues and still really enjoy it, but I've definitely noticed a slight drop in my interest. Sundays used to be totally consumed by football and following my fantasy teams, but now it's not unusual for 2hrs go by without football or fantasy even crossing my mind.

My interest started fading last year, and to be honest, i wouldn't care if we quit playing right now.
I just simply don't care about the NFL anymore, and if it wasn't for fantasy, i'd probably never watch a game.

My interest is driven by the people playing in my league. This will be the last year I play with people from work.

My interest has been declining for a couple years now. I get all excited for the draft then after 2 weeks I'm like yeah, this sucks. It's my least favorite fantasy sport and the garbage that is the NFL right now doesn't help.

Luckily fantasy hockey and basketball are right around the corner.

Also, I think I'm just about done playing any "head to head" fantasy. No roto scoring, no care.

Same.... i probably have the best team I have ever had so far this year and I havent watched more than 1 quarter of a game. I'll probably sit out next year. We'll see what happens after that. I do enjoy the insight on this board of posters like gyno, bilJ, byron and vermilion.

And vermil, that was me that gave you the shout out on sleeper a while back, finally out on bail from banland

Playing in 6 leagues was a mistake. I tell myself I will consolidate every year, but nothing changes lmao

No doubt. You realize there's about a thousand things more important in life than stressing about something that is essentially a crap shoot lol.

Trimmed back from up to 5 down to 2 this year and it's been glorious. It wasn't easy to get out and I certainly got ridiculed, but it's done now and no going back. Just stayed in the 2 that I commish.

I can understand reduced interest. I really do think we've reached the peak of fantasy football, as it stands.

I think if you're feeling burned out on it... I would suggest just a couple of things.

First, dial everything back to one league. When your attention is more focused, you will enjoy following your players more.

Second, for the love of God, switch to an auction league. A new format will energize your interest in fantasy football. Auction drafts are so much more fun than snake drafts... you will actually look forward to your auction all year.

Third, join or form a smaller league. We are talking 10 teams, or, ideally, 8 teams. The scoring is more explosive with a smaller league, and anyone can beat anyone. It only seems easier from the outside looking in.

Fourth, back on the smaller league thing... your matchups with people will mean more and you will actually build rivalries over the years. My league is open only to family members and close friends. It fosters competition.

Fifth, of you're a commissioner... communicate with your league. Mass email them every once in a while to trash talk them a little or talk about how the scoring is trending, etc. People LOVE feedback on their team. Good or bad, doesn't matter. Poke the league a little, and the league will poke back.

The bottom line in any organized activity is managing people. If you manage the people better and interact with them better, and structure them better... you get better results.

I'm playing in a 10 man league with only close friends.

It's just not fun anymore, and will probably be our last year.

being as competitive as I am, I can't stand playing something that I have so little control over if I win or lose.

Actually down to 0 teams this year for the first time since... early 2000s or so when I started.

I might jump back in next season, but I never really followed it enough to warrant putting up decent money, and it's not a whole lot of fun with nothing on the line.

It's more fun for me with 4 teams instead of the usual 1 or 2. I have two good teams, one mediocre and one poor. Each week it's fun getting all the notifications about TD and many opportunities for WW or trades.
