I'm a millennial and I spend more than that.

We just had a crab boil last weekend.

Going to the LSU game this weekend

Went to the beach with my family

ETA: I love how people complain that millennial spend too much time on the internet and now we spend too much time socializing with friends and family? We also killed large restaurant chains and small local restaurants have flourished. Sorry for that too.

All those FSU football players majoring in Coffee, Tea, and Wine Hospitality may be on to something.

1300 over a summer isn't a lot of money.

Right? What kinda poor says that $100 a week is some sort of incredible amount of money to spend? Especially when it seems like that's just the average and they are including trips in this number, which would obviously raise the average.

I'm pretty sure this researcher said, "I know how to get a lot of clicks, I'll look into the exorbitant lifestyles that millennials live during the summer!"

Then they spent all this time looking up numbers, didn't come up with anything shocking, but said "frick it, I've come this far" and wrote the article anyway.

That's not huge money. Are we supposed to be surprised that young people go out and eat and drink with family and friends a good bit?

It really is perspective. These articles are written in the light that every member of the 'millennial' generation is cash-strapped, debt-ridden, and living with their parents.

I look at $1,300 and think the same thing as you, Golfer. And I'm a member of the generation labeled 'millennials.'
