I'm sure some like being free from cancerous smoke when they go to a bar or the casino. That's the freedom I like.
If you're getting hammered in a bar you aren't that concerned about your health.

this shite pisses me off to no end. If you don't want to work in an environment where there's smoke, and you work in the service industry, try one of the literally hundreds of bars and restaurants here that have bans (and had voluntary bans since before the initial one was implemented). As for Casino workers, those places pay millions of dollars for air filtration systems that provide you with cleaner air than people are breathing outside.
Pussification of America. Let the business owners determine smoking rules

What's funny is this is a normal in a lot of the country, but like usual BR is way behind on things. Even the cesspool that is New Orleans has a ban on smoking in bars

people are getting mowed down and robbed daily and this is what they worry about?frick these people.
So city government should be dedicated to crime 100%? It is possible to address more than one issue at time. How is this affecting crime.

Nothing is affecting crime. That's the problem.

Not sure why people have a problem with this. No one is going to lose revenue. Addicts gonna addict.
You don't think casinos lose out on revenue when smoking is banned?

Let's ban smoking in private businesses while chemical plants up and down the river spew toxins in the air.

Yeah crime is a huge problem, not arguing that. This isn't an either or situation, they didn't have to choose between addressing crime or the smoking issue.

It shows how fricking terrible politicians at large are at prioritizing. It was theoretically possible for Nero to both fiddle and put out the fire in Rome, but in practice, he wasn't capable of doing both.

Even if it was, if Harrah's wants to make less, they should be entitled to do so. We don't need government legislating best business practices. Let Harrah's figure its own shite out.

Hum... not sure the city has any say so with riverboat casinos. They're technically a ship on a navigable waterway and therefor fall under a different jurisdiction.
Posted on 8/9/17 at 11:14 am to SlapahoeTribe
Hey I have a great idea, lets ban Meth and Murder while we are at it.

prove it.

Honest question - if a crime is committed on one of the boats, does BRPD report to it?
