Ban would not go into effect until June 1, 2018 - affects bars and casinos. Apparently Chauna Banks is the deciding vote.

Is there anything stopping individual bars and casinos from enacting their own smoking policies? Why do we need the numbskulls in the City Council to tell us what to do

Not sure why people have a problem with this. No one is going to lose revenue. Addicts gonna addict.

Is this supposed to be a real argument?

Baby Ge'rl blocked me on FB. She didn't like the fact I asked her to request Alton Sterling's toxicology report.

Pushed implementation back to June 2018, and put enforcement in the hands of police/sheriff instead of the fire department.

This should be the decision of each individual establishment.

I care about personal liberty and all but smoking is gross. Ban it!

I'm sure some like being free from cancerous smoke when they go to a bar or the casino. That's the freedom I like.

Crocket street in Beaumont Texas says hello. It was pretty much the only vibrant night life spot in the entire city. Reastaurants, bars, and live music venues. City enacted a smoking ban for all businesses and less than two years later that place dried up and blew away. I see both sides of the argument but this should be the decision of the business owner.

I won't go to the smelly casinos due to the nasty cigarette smell. Probably wouldn't go very often if they did ban smoking though. I can't believe people are still stupid enough to smoke cigarettes. Quitting is very doable.
