How have they not stocked away enough cash to last a literal lifetime after being the only grocery store in Denham for 9 months?

It's kind of near one of the few bad areas in DS

Haha. Yeah they can make the Juban store their 'nice' one and just use the old Albertson's location as their food stamp and pig's feet ghetto store like they did the two in P-ville.

Maybe they did, and now that competition is here, they are getting out with their cash?

Oh man, I know this guy! He was my old neighbor in college. Definitely a good ole baw! His wife (may be ex now) managed another albertsons locally.

Last I saw, Alabama fan manager was at the College Drive store.

This fricking blows. I liked going there to beat the Walmart crowd and to get a few things that Carter's doesn't have. No way they I'll put a Rouses there. Hopefully, another store and not a Neighborhood Walmart.

That building has been several grocery stores and they don't seem to last. I blame location... and a walmart being a stone's throw away.
It's funny that Rouse's is so popular now. They had one in denham back in the day and it shut down because no one shopped there. They tore down the building and built a CVS there, but it was in the same parking lot across from Mr Gatti's.

no. We can't have nice things. No Brookeshires. No Publix. No HEB. No Kroger. Just lower tier stores, local mom/pops, and worn out Albertson's, Winn Dixies,

Brah, it's been a Win-Dixie and an Albertson's. That's it. Win-Dixie was there for well over two decades I'm fairly certain.

They had a fantastic location but I think the traffic re-routing through Denham to create two lanes of traffic through Range & Florida hurt the amount of traffic it got because people were less likely to stop in. JMO.
The and part is the biggest issue. Along with one opening up in Walker. And Live Oak. And another Wal-Mart Marketplace in South Denham. Along with a Carter's. Along with a Rouses.
Just too many options locally for them to compete.

I actually worked in HS at both Win-Dixie and Rouses in Denham back in the day as a 16 year old punk HS kid at Denham High. The quality of the store at Rouses back then was done totally on the cheap. They weren't ready to expand back then. They're nowhere near what they were then now. They got their act together in a major way.
That was a cabinet-maker (Grabince) between the time it was the Rouses and the time they razed it for the CVS, which I've heard isn't doing as well as they'd hoped for.

That entire shopping center, behind Gatti's, is due to be leveled.
Not sure what the plans are there but I DO know there's a natural fault line under that parking lot which is why it's parking lot continually sucks.

Why would they put a Neighborhood Walmart a 1/2 mile from the Super Walmart they just re-built?

It's been an eye sore since the TG&Y shut down in the 80's
