You ever try bulletproof coffee? I use it for preworkout purposes and feel very energized and focused.

Coffee.
Butter or Heavy Whipping Cream.
Creatine.
MCT oil.
Niacin (powder form sprinkled in after pulling apart capsule)

Max Effort's flavors and mixability is by far my top rated pre. If you catch one of their deals building a stack you can stock up on pre and BCAAs for relatively cheap

I make my own. I just buy the powders I want in bulk off of Amazon. Creatine, BCAA, and L Arginine. Get a kilo of each, 1 scoop of each per day, lasts me for months. Total cost is about $45.

ETA: None of it is flavored so it tastes like shite if you mix it with just water.

Glad to know I'm not the only one using Max Effot Muscle Pre and Post. Products are top notch. Mixing a preworkout drink right now. All the new flavors are pretty good.

That seems like something you wouldn't want to take before lifting until you've been very acclimated to it. That bullet proof coffee does things to you the first week

I've been taking Pre-workouts for about 5 years, roughly once/week on average. I change it up each time and have used C4, Assault, NO Explode, Pre-Jym, etc. They all seem to be similar for me but I keep going back to C4.

Since the weight room is crowded on weekday evenings, I usually will choose to lift weight on weekends and sometimes during weekday lunch (gym close to my work). When I take a Pre-workout on a weekday lunch, I also get a lot of work done that afternoon. Now I plan challenging work projects for the afternoons of those Pre-workout days.

I've taken MP Assault and Animal Pump in the past.

I don't take either now but I'd recommend Pump. It had a noticeable effect and feels great after the workout. MP Assault is like crack. It's great for a couple of months and then you'll find yourself taking 10 scoops to try to find that pre-workout high again.

I just take adderall now before my workouts. It doesn't sound great, and I question whether it's good for my heart but I haven't noticed anything negative from it. No irregular or unusually high heart rate. Nothing makes me focus more and hit it harder (whether I'm doing cardio or interval/incline runs) than when I've taken about 20 mg of adderall 30 min before my workouts.

Started PMP by GAT a few weeks ago and really feel it working during my lifting. No jitters but tons of energy!

I buy 3 containers of Pharma Freak's Ripped Freak from Canada or the U.K every 6 months or so.

It was banned in the US over a year ago.

I got 2 of the mango flavors last order and I'm not a huge fan of it lol

Do all preworkouts recommend 1 scoop and put on the label not to exceed 1 scoop?


Do you all follow that procedure or if you're feeling sluggish one day and maybe slip a little more than that? I guess what I am asking is...will I die if I take 2 scoops?


This is my first experience with preworkout. My 3 workouts this week were amazing with taking Stimul8 by Finaflex.
