Ok let’s get one thing straight.....everything is better drapes in purple!!!! On a more serious note, with all this cash and the need for an attacking mid to help replace Cou (although if Ox was healthy this conversation would be different) why the hell are we not throwing money at Lazio for SMS? This guy has superstar written all over him, we have the money and he would be insane next to Keita behind our front three.

prob cause he'd cost ~£100mm

I think he'd be more than what we were quoted for Lemar last season.

I’d be behind that money although at this point last year I guess we were just about willing to break the bank for Lemar and at this point that looks to be a huge bullet dodged. I’m just gonna trust Klopp although I am worried about GK and the price tags associated with our “targets”. I have SMS on the brain with the WC starting up.

I think that's pretty harsh... I'd take him without a doubt.. He is still a very talented player... I think a drop off was expected after the talent drain at AS Monaco... But I never though he was worth the money quoted last summer... The 53mm Atletico paid is about right..
But I trust our recruitment team if we decided to go in a different direction..
I've been a big fan of SMS and was hoping we'd go for him last summer... Unfortunately, I don't see us spending that big on ne player... I'd love to be wrong..
I know I'm in the minority, but Id much rather replace Lovren than Karius... knowing we still need to bring in a keeper if Migs is leaving...

Mo not starting today...
I know that has to be tough for him, but selfishly, I am glad they aren't rushing him back...

Maybe since our away kit is so out of hte box our third kit will be something more traditional. I'd love a solid white or black in the same cut as our home kits this year.
I've seen a grey/silver/white deal. It looks like an away kit, guess they just switched it up this year?
The purple drank doesn't bother me that much. Who cares honestly, long as the home kit is fire.

you'd rather replace our #3 CB before addressing our #1 GK...

Good news/bad news -
Brewster has signed a 5 year deal.
But according to Pearce one of the reasons is we're not going to sign a back-up striker.
Doesn't mean we won't sign another attacker (fekir like) who can play false 9 or that Mane/Salah wouldn't play there if Bobby was out.
I realize Matip was hurt, but it seemed to me that Lovren was becoming preferred anyway. And besides, neither of them are good enough. To improve our starting XI, both gK and CB are needed. But an improvement on CB would be easier/cheaper than the GK. For our system, many GK, even if better in some areas, would not be an improvement.

Oh and best thing I saw on the LFC reddit today -
there were more PKs awarded in the World Cup yesterday than Liverpool got the entire season in the PL.
I do think part of that is the temperment of our players - they are a determined bunch and keep to their feet a lot more than some guys would, fighting for the ball.
But I also think its because they are all foreign.

Lovren is preferred and has anybody heard anything about a real run at a starting CB? I don't think our #2 CB or Karius are good enough. I am hoping that after the WC we get down to business, shite we sold Cou for 142 (I know with add ons) for this right? It's never going to happen but could you imagine the goal celebrations if we got James between him, Bobby and Sadio?!

I think as it stands, Lovren is the starting RCB, which makes him #1 by default..
So yeah, Id rather replace him than Karius..

I've read rumors about Lascelles at Newcastle United, but I'm not so sure he'd be a sure-fire improvement over how Lovren was playing to finish this last season.
I feel bad for Mo because Egypt is pretty much done.
But I'm happy that I might get a chance to see the Egyptian King play in Charlotte on July 21st now.
And I'm even happier that he'll now be able to get some more rest before he starts training again for the EPL season.

2 questions:
1. How long does Lovren have to play this consistently well to gain my trust? I think it might PTSD.
2. Why is RM always trying to replace Navas in goal? I don’t need Neuer in goal just somebody who is not going to give the fricking CL Final away.

He is on the wrong side of 30 even though GKs can play later.. some start to decline pretty fast...
+ They are all about Galacticos...

Id take Raheem back in a heart beat (I know it wont happen)... I think that trio behind Bobby would be deadly..

Thx TF just always liked Navas. Seems like a solid guy with a solid game but yeah he’s no longer the “in” GK. I saw that Sterling thing early....I love it.

So Keita is confirmed at our new #8... Not sure how I feel about that
