Lemar is interesting alternative, but they are insane if they are still expecting £90mm... He isn't worth more than Fekir IMO

Hell.. I think we could use both type of players in our squad...

Well he’s younger and less severe injuries. This past year you’d have to say has to make Monaco drop the price to something more fair between £60-70m as opposed to the £90-100m or whatever BS they thought last year. Who knows if we’d even be willing to do business at that price anyway

I'm talking strictly from on the field performances... you're right that you have to take any medical concerns into consideration...

I think Fekir comes and starts, where I'm not confident Lemar would...

At the risk of ruining my Saturday night...believe Liverpool pulled out of the Fekir deal on Friday, after the medical. Lyon then tried to renegotiate terms to push it through, but were unsuccessful.

So is this us not liking what we saw with the knee and pulling out or is this us trying to shave some cash off the deal due to “concerns”? Or is this Lyon trying to drag this thing out until after the WC? So if this deal is really dead who would you boys like to see us attempt to get to fill that role? Of course, anyone playing there will just be keeping that spot warm for my boy Ox??. And I guess I don’t see Klopp as ruthless with the depth situation but I could certainly be wrong and would not mind filling this roster with as much talent possible.

I think at this point, it's too soon to say what's going with the Fekir deal... dead or not..

The players I'd like to see us pursue instead of Fekir would have us fishing in deep waters..

Pulisic for me in the deep waters. His creative MF ability first and then out wide versatility. But yeah, doubtful.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT HERE FELLAS:

Byrdman is gonna be a DAD! To the next LFC/USMNT generational striking talent hopefully, but I’d settle for the next USWNT generational talent as well, obviously...

Super stoked! Not far along yet, but I am beyond stoked! It has been a great day, boys.

Byrdman you are one of if not my favorite.....you are a lucky SOB. I raised one step daughter from 9 to now 28 and I adopted a little girl from China at 11 months who is now 9. Whatever you think has been a great thing to happen to you will now pale in comparison to things that happen to you 4-5 times a day. A look at you, a thank you, something that makes you proud of the little one or the first time you hear someone call you Daddy. fricking right brother, just don’t Durant any aspect of being a Father. Congratulations, keep us posted.

Thanks fellas! Lady Byrd is still early on, so we are probably looking at a couple of months.

I hate surprises... Very much a planner so we will know as soon as we can.

You may have detected this, but the "I want it to be a surprise!" people really piss me off.

Isn't it a surprise when they tell you at the ultra-sound?

Why is it a bigger surprise later than then?

OK, I'm OCD obsessing again...

Hahaha! Preaching to the choir big guy.

My OCD will not allow two things: surprises, and events on Saturdays in the fall other than football or soccer.

Second happiest day of my life was seeing that tiny little penis and scrotum on ultrasound!

First happiest? The Kick Six!

(P.S. You know that's not true, right? WHEN HE WAS BORN ALRIGHT? lol)

Hakim Ziyech Gentlemen. Now that Fekir is a medical liability and we are moving on I am hearing a lot of fans crying out for this Ajax attacking mid for 25 million. I admit I don’t know much about this Moroccan but is this just fans or is this our Plan B? We have get a creative, play making attacking mid to give us 2 quality players at that position with Ox. After reading about this player for awhile today he seems like a viable option. I just wish we could have completed our midfield overhaul before the WC. Amazing that it was done and dusted until the medical on the right knee went tits up. I would still like to see us get that spot fillled and concentrate on the GK and if we can save 30 million then maybe we will be ok with spending on GK. It appears that Klopp has identified Allison as his dream choice and it is my opinion that if you look at Klopp’s net spending to this point with the type of quality transfers he has brought in I would trust him and spend if Klopp thinks that he is truly our guy between the sticks. Damn it, I just wish that medical would have gone better!!!

I think its more of "who else is out there?" talk.. though we have been linked with him in the past..

He would be an underwhelming signing, though he does have some quality... Its really hard to judge the players in the Eredivisie.. Honestly, if we signed him and Shaqiri.. I'd place money on Shaqiri starting before him...
