Not true. Hispanics have 67.4 births per 1000 unmarried women. That rate is 59.6 for blacks.

The "problem" is that married Hispanic couples have more children, which affects the overall percentages.

This doesn't have to be conservative.

Two married gay parents are still two parents.

That is the way to have these stats cross the political divide without ruffling feathers.

Honestly it's about time we focused more on these children born to unwed mothers. They need a special place where they will be safe and can learn at their own pace. With some bars on the windows and a high fence

There are probably more births between white women and hispanic men than there were 50 years ago as well which could also contribute, but the discrepancy isn't quite as large.

Blame the obesity epidemic for that one

I'm referring to this. The % of total births which are to unwed mothers, by race.

I understand, but that number isn't as useful as the birth rate per 1000. It is sort of like saying there are more people on welfare that are white than any other race. That doesn't really tell the story unless you look at the gross numbers of each race.

See...this is why we should be encouraging abortion.

Since abortion became legal, things have gotten worse. Know why? About that time, the war on poverty and the war on drugs began.

Abortion is meaningless when we're still encouraging single women to have kids and jailing young men at an alarming rate.

Absolute bullshite. A condom is affordable. So are pills. They hand out pills like candy at your local clinic.

The abortion being made legal was a symptom of America losing touch with Jesus and the high rate of bastards is another symptom

But Trump wants to Make America Christian Again

I recently made a thread about the marriage issue

Summary: marriage is now a class signal of sorts these days. the more well off are the ones getting married at high rates. marriage is not a behavior of the poor anymore, for the most part.

This is why even though we're not planning to have kids, I still got married. I'm too classy to be living with a chick and not be married.

1) Are there a larger % of babies born to white mothers with black fathers today (2017) than in 1960, or 1980? Yes or no?

2) Are the FATHERS in those non-white demographics more likely to have babies out of wedlock than white fathers? Yes or no?

If the answer to both of those questions is "Yes", then we have an answer to one of the factors driving up the % of out-of-wedlock births to white mothers in the past 25-50 years.

Jesus Christ dude

Being the raised in a two parent home is better for the child's outcome? Shocking!

I think the increase is correlated to the obesity epidemic

Exactly right. This isn't an issue of sex education.

These single moms are trying to get pregnant, period. All of them? No. But the ones having multiple kids.. yes.

Oh, and pulling out is 100% free.

Please support yours with data. You just posted some vague racial bs based on interracial couples being less taboo
