When it comes to retail politics and people whose biggest investment into the political arena is accumulating, consolidating and maintaining political power...it's simple math.
It's much cheaper to buy a vote by dumbing down your message and appealing to a demographic that is trending towards a majority in terms of total population than it is to appeal to people who are rapidly declining as a percentage of the electorate.
This trend won't reverse, and it dovetails perfectly with liberal/progressive ideology where in they play identity politics and focus on income/wealth disparity. With fewer more successful people because of educational/life outcomes, there will be a seemingly more and more successful correlation of their narrative that "whitey," is to blame for their ills.

Not all single mothers are created equal. What led to them being divorced. Was it based on a trivial matter or was it initiated by the husband.
There are two sides in every divorce story. What if child/marital rape, drugs, affairs, and life ruining financial problems were involved.
None of this matters.
The point is that if you are born into a loving married family household your life is better.
It doesn't matter why the parents got divorced or why the mom is single, none of that ancillary stuff changes the factual outcome.
I find it hilarious when people argue against facts.

I just noticed it was you Volod. Keep educating yourself kid. Your moving in the right direction

while both pay a role, it's pretty clear nurture plays a bigger role in raising kids
i don't think extreme IQs are even genetically linked, but a slightly above average IQ and good values can take you a LONG way

Yeah. It is redic. But ANYTHING the disparages black people even it backed by facts is racist.
I like how the researcher who I think was a lib had to tip toe around her facts because she doesn't want to be accused as being some right wing bible thumper.
The worrisome part which was mentioned in the podcast is this shite is now creeping more and more into the middle class.

now put the same 2 kids with a single mom living in poverty, what are the chances the kid that became a doctor in the other family is now becoming a doctor?
yeah that's teh rub. you basically create a ceiling for your kid(s)
then they're more likely to adopt the lower class values, have kids when they shouldn't, cycle created

It is interesting as the technology/effectiveness of contraceptives increases that the number of oopsies also increases. I know a lot of these baby makers aren't on anything, but that big of a jump (5 to 40%) is staggering especially with the sex crazed and drug fueled orgies of that time.
Are people having more sex?
Are people just less cautious?
Is the government giving handouts on per child basis?
Something else?

Those issues are brought on at an individual level. Like I said before, it is extremely selfish, reckless and totally irresponsible to bring children into unstable situations. If you are already struggling financially, why would you bring another life into that?

Fastest growing, perhaps. But what group is the current leader? That's why people believe this is a race issue.

but this isn't a "black" issue anymore
all races, except asians, are seeing these rates explode

Idiocracy is coming. It's easy to pop out kids when the government provides for everything. Not so much when you have tons in student debt, mortgages, two careers, etc

I don't know how anyone could argue with anything in those statements

I know a lot of academics, they don’t want to say that, right? Because it sounds really socially conservative and preachy.
This kind of lunacy and fear of being labeled a bigot is killing academia.

The stigma associated with it has changed. Also the government handouts don't deter the issue. There is also a very real marriage penalty when it comes to taxes.

I don't really understand how this is a racial thing in the first place.
If we agree that being "non-white" in America pre-1940 wasn't exactly a cup of tea, and poverty was rampant, we can see that "non-whites" started off with a 6x higher birth rate to unmarried mothers.
We know these things are very difficult to overcome, so it shouldn't be a surprise that as rates have risen across the board, the people starting out behind the 8-ball are going to be more susceptible.
