Deandre Jordan shot 71% from the field this season. GOAT shooter.

By no metric is this true at this point in his career. And he will not likely increase his numbers more. His 2 pt shooting is 50.7% (barely in the top 150), His 3 Pt shooting is spectacular and puts him 3rd overall (coincidentally, Steve Kerr is number 1). Barely in the top 400 in Field goal percentage (this is indicative of the high amount of 3 point shots he takes). In PPG he is 24th. KD and Lebron are 4th and 5th respectively.

Listing Kerr ahead of Curry in the list of great shooters is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Curry is by far the best shooter I've ever seen. He would have shot 80% from three if nobody was worried about him and the guy guarding him was the help man.

Kerr was firing while open standing just behind line while two guys blocked mj's way to the hole.

Curry carried the team for years.

Kerr at az in the ncaa championship run with two future nba frontline players was more difficult work.

They don't like being known as 7'. Anthony Davis does the same thing.

That would be pretty funny, I'm curious who did that? Kerr was an excellent shooter, though. I did list statistics for 3 pt percentages for a career. Sorry if the facts trouble you. I made no judgement on who was a better overall shooter.

I think this is probably true for me, as well. I thought Bird or Ray Allen may have been a contender but looking at the stats made me rethink that.

Gladly, please offer corrections to the stats I've listed before I depart. I'll wait.

So what exactly are you trying to argue here? He's the best you've ever seen, but he's not the greatest. You point out stats favor Kerr. But concede that he's not better than Curry. Then you concede it's not Bird or Allen. So who exactly do you think is the greatest shooter of all time since you took such great umbrage with someone saying Curry was it.

I don't care what the hell the stats say. Everybody on the opposing team is gameplanning to stop Curry and he still manages to shoot amazingly from behind the arc with off balance shots and deeper than other players can do. Kerr meanwhile stood at the top of the key waiting for the opposing team to triple team MJ or Pippen and get the kickout for a wide open take your time three.

I pointed out that he was third all time in 3 pt percentage and noted the coincidence that his coach was 1st. I can see how you might infer that I thought that meant that Kerr was better but I did not for all the reasons people have listed and the fact that he took much fewer shots over his career. I think Curry may very well be the greatest 3 point shooter of all time. That is also why I brought up Allen and Bird, since that was generally considered one of their strengths but when I looked up the stats, Curry is clearly better.

As for the greatest shooter of all time, tough call. I think MJ and KD are both better overall shooters than Curry.

I don't think I did and didn't mean to if that is what came across, I just don't see what metric puts him there other than his 3 point shooting ability. But perhaps that is what really defines a great shooter now, I don't know.

And for the record, I really like Curry. I love the fact that it looks like he's having a blast out there on the court. I not sure he doesn't shoot better with pressure on him than otherwise (that's the eyeball test, so I'm not sure that would hold up to any kind of statistical scrutiny). He's definitely fun to watch and I do find myself astonished at what he does quite often.

Undoubtedly, he is better shooter than Kerr. We don't disagree, I only mention Kerr because I found it interesting that he was listed as #1, since he's his coach. He also took far fewer shots per game than Curry does.

Undoubtedly, this helps as does the fact that Kerr took far fewer shots I would think.

thats not trolling. steph can score and thats it. klay can play elite on ball D against 1-4 and score while doing it. you people are fricking insane. Klay probably wipes his nuts across stephs face 1 on 1 at practice
