thats not trolling. steph can score and thats it. klay can play elite on ball D against 1-4 and score while doing it. you people are fricking insane. Klay probably wipes his nuts across stephs face 1 on 1 at practice
Basketball players aren't judged on their one on one abilities.

Steph would dance around Klay like no tomorrow.

Also, while Klay is a good defender, he isn't that elite at it imo. Better than Steph, but not elite level.

yeah thats why gambling venues are so successful; the majority of people are wrong most of the time.
steph may "dance around" him a couple possessions but more often than not klay would stop him. steph couldnt stop klay.
steph only averaged 3 more points a game this year, far outweighed by the number of points klay takes away playing defense. The ability to guard 1-4 is being vastly underrated by yall. then dude scored 37 points in a quarter.
if yall wanna be wrong thats cool, ill just be chillin with charles barkley smoking a cigar

MJ a better shooter than Steph... that nostalgia though!!!

KD even before this season.
KD is an elite scorer in college and NBA history.
Steph is shooter.

Steph is shooter.

A 7ft guard that regularly goes for 50/40/90. He'll be a lot higher ranked then steph. And that's not taking anything away from Steph...KD is just a freak of nature.

He's like 6'9.
KD already admitted to being 7ft tall with shoes on.

While KD is certainly better around the bucket, I don't know where why it is so often repeated that Steph is just a shooter (or is a one trick pony).
Did you watch Game 5? Curry went 2-9 from 3pt range and still scored 34 points with most of his points coming in the restricted area. That is not someone who is "just a shooter". Steve Kerr was just a shooter. Not Curry.

No. No he's not

I guess I'm overly influenced by statistics. Jordan's overall FG% and 2P% are better. Maybe that is because he was better at working inside to the basket? Perhaps 3 pt shots are the thing to look at, again, my own particular OCD seems to enslave me to statistics. Ultimately, the game has change
If you just compare their first 8 seasons, MJ is significantly better in overall FG% and 2Pt% but significantly worse in 3PT%.
And maybe nostalgia comes into play but I am not really an MJ fan, just acknowledge his greatness in this sport.
Ultimately, I think, a couple of things come into why I hesitate to consider Steph the greatest shooter of all time. He's just 8 seasons into a career and history indicates he will tail off in the very near future. Also, I think the greatest labels are difficult to establish across eras, particularly in basketball. A clear indication of the differences of styles of play is this 5.3% (725 of 13644) of MJ's total shots in 8 seasons were 3 pointers, 45.4% (4379 of 9645) of Steph's were 3 pointers.
In a few years I may very well look back at this and think "what the heck was I smokin"

The answer is Durant.
Yes, Curry is likely to have the higher perceived peak-- however, his body size and type (and history) argue for a game that will age well, but not as well as being a rangy big.
You can't teach being tall. Barring a complete end of career break down in mobility, Durant is going to squeeze an extra bit out of his career that differentiates the two.
