Who do you think would create the ultimate LSU Defense?
I can only go by what I have heard about for those before I was born so this list is biased. What you got?

DE Marcus Spears
DT Booger McFarland
DT Glen Dorsey
DE Arden Key??? (potentially Gabe Northern..time will tell how big a mark Key leaves)
OLB AJ Duhe
MLB Bradie James
OLB Kwon Alexander (replace with Michael Brooks)
CB Patrick Peterson
CB Corey Webster
NB Tyran Mathieu
S Laron Landry
S Tommy Casanova

Okay so making some edits based on feedback. Adding the NB position for Badger and putting Michael Brooks in over Kwon and Laron Landry to vacant S position.

Now there is a list worth talking about and a Defense that would shut down any offense. I also hear people's opinions on Webster but like others have mentioned, he simply was too consistent and made too many HUGE plays to not take a CB spot.

PS Honey Badger should not be a point of contention in my opinion..he is one of the GOAT

Wild to think they all played together. Webster was great, but I think Claiborne was better in college.

Yeah I'd put Claiborne over Webster. Claiborne was one of the best college corners I've ever seen.

Wasn't he a DE here then switched to LB in the league?

Pretty good list, IMO. Hard to imagine a list without Warren Capone (2 time AA linebacker) and LaRon Landry at the safety position.

Dorsey got the hardware. Lavalais got the 3rd down stops in big games.

Claiborne over Webster (Tre White over Webster for that matter. No one threw at Tre last year).

Gabe Northern over Key or Alexander.

I never saw Casanova play, but LaRon Landry starts at safety.

I can still here the hit Dorsey put on Kenny Irons in the background. He got the hardware for a reason. Dude 'twas a force.

Amazing how people have forgotten just how great Webster was. I'd consider taking him over both Claiborne and White. Definitely White.

Absolutely Webster over White. Claiborne is a solid argument.

Minter' big year was 2012. In 2011, he was sharing time with freakin Karnell Hatcher at ILB (probably a 60/40% split)

Michael Brooks (1985 All-American). If you are an LSU fan of a certain age, and by that I mean my age, Michael Brooks is one step away from Football God. He was an All-American as a junior and on his way to a second All-American campaign as a senior until a knee injury wiped out his senior year. He is the best linebacker I ever saw play in the purple and gold. He still ranks 5th all-time among LSU players in career tackles for a loss, and 1st among linebackers. He ranks 2nd all-time among LSU linebackers in career sacks.

Warren Capone (1972 and 1973 All-American). Two-time All-American. Do we need to say more? The 1972 and 1973 teams allowed 274 points... combined. In 1972, they allowed all of 12 touchdowns on the season. He was the best player on some stout defenses.
