Most were wrong about Houston, and you absolutely were wrong about OKC. You had them as a .500 team that wouldn't come close to 50 wins.
Both Houston and OKC have played better than predicted. Why is that so hard for you to admit in conjunction?

That's bc your squad ain't threatening any records. And your MVP candidate is about 20x less likely to win the award than James.

It won't. Look at the standings. CC is all but locked into 3.
I know. I was asking a hypothetical.

MVP is a team accomplishment, yup

no shite Sherlock what part of it always going to a player on a top 3 seed would make you think it wasn't?

It would depend on the matchups.
THis year I'd rather have the 3 seed and a MVP over the two seed an no MVP. Because HOU beats the Spurs either way IMO. Other years I may prefer the higher seeding.

So in order to discredit Westbrook's MVP argument, Houston posters have resorted to arguing the minimally subjective nature of the assist stat.
Which is hilarious because OKC has been basically elite at home...and a lottery team on the road.
Guess the OKC stat guys are so effective they are able to alter outcomes of home games with their assist bumps!

James is the MVP... King James that is. The league has been reaching for a hero since he last won the MVP award. Dudes the best in the league and best on the planet. Next in line is K. Leonard.

Just extended the longest streak of 50 win seasons in NBA history, but thanks for playing

Never once cared whether Kawhi won it or not. Cool that he's in the discussion, I guess, but that's not what we play for in AC. Hell, he finished 2nd in MVP race last year and wasn't even really trying
Thinking Harden will win it. And kudos to him if he does.

Their net rating is prertty close to a .500 team. In other words in a typical year they would be right at .500
What I admittedly missed on was how bad the rest of the conference would be.

This team is a weird one. They've started to win some blowouts, but most of the year, their wins were close games yet their losses were blowouts.
Think that has something to do with it being so low for a team that will finish somewhere between the 7-10th best team in the NBA.

Okc preseason win total in vegas - 45.5
Projected wins - 47
HOU preseason win total in vegas - 41.5
Projected wins - 57
So we got a team who is 1.5 wins over and one who is 15+. And you just put them in the same sentence.
Please
Bro

Of course you wouldn't give a shite if Kawhi won the MVP. Neither would I if I was a Spurs fan.

Never gave much of a shite when David or Tim was up for the award, either, ijs
Definition for MVP shifts a lot. Not worth getting too worked up over, IMO.

Agree. I feel like the voters are always looking for the next big thing. The two years Nash won it were a joke as well as the year Rose won it.

These threads are so old man. Someone posts accomplishment Westbrook has achieved and it turns into Boom just shitting everywhere.
What Russ has done with this team is unreal. Look at the first year post-Shaq in Orlando and first year post-LBJ in Cleveland for comparison.

No one is saying Penny Hardaway or Mo Williams are better than Westbrook.
