The 6th Sense was a "Disney" movie also

Why put Disney in quotes? Touchstone and Miramax all fall under the umbrella of the Walt Disney Company just as ABC and ESPN do. Katztenberg championed Pretty Woman and Eisner did not want to distribute a Michael Moore documentary because "Disney doesn't get political". My how times have changed.

Thought the movie was great.

Watson wasn't perfect, but she did a fine job and I think people saying she was miscast are just trying to be edgy and cool.

Gaston stole the movie. Dude owned that character.

Be our Guest and the dance scene were simply stunning.

I liked how it was obvious the "Be Our Guest" number was rehearsed and all set up by Lumiere. Like he planned a show long ago and finally has an audience. Yuck on the grey stuff being caviar.

Looks wise she was perfect for Belle. However, her performance was just flat and she couldn't hit key notes. I saw her performance compared to Natalie Portman in the prequels and I agree.

If you have a VR headset, they have a VR version of this scene where you are in the seat where Belle was sitting.

It is interactive on the Oculus Rift, but works as a 360 movie on other platforms.

the manservant LeFou, played by Josh Gad, has “a nice, exclusively gay moment” in the movie

Key word is "moment", a singular word which you incorrectly interpret as multiple.

I hate Gad's delivery. His line about being illiterate was cringe-worthy.

Saw it this afternoon and loved it. I was 6 when the original came out and Belle has always been my favorite Disney princess. I'm sure an actress with stronger vocals could have been cast, but Emma Watson did a great job as Belle. Although the original will always reign supreme, I think they did a great job bringing the movie to life. The new songs didn't really do it for me, but I actually liked the added backstory, particularly about Belle's mom. It took all of my willpower not to burst out and sing along in the theater

Have you accepted that one of your daughter is coming home pregnant without knowing who the father is because you sheltered them their whole lives yet?

How is she going to do that? She's clearly going to be gay because I don't agree with a gay lifestyle. Come on, man, at least get your troll straight.

ETA: What's truly hilarious is that you seem to think exposing my children to abhorrant behavior early and often will someone turn them to the straight and narrow. Ridiculous.

ETA2: Y'all do realize I took my kids to this movie, right? You look like complete idiots.

I just think the line was out of place. They were really going all out to make the townspeople out to be terrible people. The way Belle interacts with all but 2 of them didn't do that character any justice either. She's supposed to be a kind girl who wouldn't harm anyone, and instead comes off as judgmental of everyone around her. Other than the black guy, of course.

You want me to explain sex to you?

That's not at all what I think. Because I argue that sheltering a child from anything you think they can't handle without giving them the opportunity to handle it is bad doesn't mean I think the opposite is true. Don't put words in my mouth.

No. You're an idiot. You took them only after a screening by your mother in law. Which is the definition of sheltering. Also, who the frick allows their mother in law to dictate those things? Be a man. Have some dignity and respect for yourself. Let your daughters know what a real man is like so they don't have try and find one at every bar in town in college.

She's going to frick a lot of dudes in college.

That doesn't lead to your kid being gay. Either they're born that way or it's some combination of the environment and the genetics that you can't foresee. I can always tell from a background when someone will become an honorary Floridian though.

Not at all what is going on here. You can't grasp the situation. That's why you look like an idiot.

Now who's putting words in someone's mouth? She is someone who saw it and who's opinion I trusted. Nothing more, nothing less. She dictated nothing.

Maybe so. Won't be because of how we raised them though.

Clearly it does! I mean, not showering your kids with gay influences is clearly sheltering them. It's not like that isn't already shoved down their throats through almost every show on tv. They need more of it! It's a ridiculous assertion.

Woah, I just found out that the little boy Peter in Jumanji was the voice of Chip in the original. He was also the voice of Tales on The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.
