In defense of the "normal" liberals however, the rioters are catching tons of hell on social media and in the news for this today. It's been a sound admonishment of their behavior.

Trump supporters showed up with shields and clubs, this doesn't reflect well on either side but if you show up looking for a fight sometimes you get one.

This is impossible. According to the story lifted from my local NBC affiliate's website, the pro-Trump supporters are the bad guys.
