It goes to what I've said with other teams and different circumstances, talent is not all that matters, fit also does.

I don't think OKC has a real shot to push deep in the playoffs but its because they are a pretty bad 3 point shooting team. I doubt Houston's style works long term in the playoffs but it may win a series. There's just something that rubs me as wrong about them still.

Yea. We are not too concerned with either guys turnovers they are a product of the players values to their team.

Both guys are having a season that is for the most part unmatched. But there can only be one MVP. So it goes to the guy who has lead his team to the much better record. all the while orchestrating a top 10 offense in the history of the league.

I have zero anything for Westbrook. The guy can't win, PERIOD. I'll never forgive the letdown against Miami and the 3-1 downfall last year against the Warriors. How anyone can even forget such failure then laud such numbers is hysterical. By the time the playoffs come around they will be 1 and done.

So before yesterday, it goes to Kevin Durant.

Got it.

That's your fault for thinking OKC would win that series.

Ahh, but if he never made it past the 2nd round to have those failures, then he would be much better!!!!!

Nope, KD don't orchestrate squat. The CC offense is James and role players. GSW has superstars galore. James offense this year Is better than the GSW offense last year. Let that sink in on how great James is.

The only difference is that their defense was also elite.

I can give Houston props, they built a juggernaut offensively and match up with everyone. The issue is can they make enough stops to last

Now???

MVP has always been a team award in that your team has to be atop the standings.

If that's the case shouldn't it go to Steph or kd?

No. those guys have too much help. When the MVP ladder articles come out ok every website. And they unanimously say harden. It's pretty easy to see what these guys are looking for in a MVP.

He's so fun to watch play. Brett Favre of basketball.

Yeah but how many turnovers did he have? If he had more than 5 turnovers in any of those games, he sucks. I'd rather have a 15/5/5 with no turnover game any day.

Favre leads the NFL in turnovers. He suck?

Whether it was him or not Is irrelevant today bc he's hurt. You can say he was MVP yesterday all you want. It doesn't matter today.

Wait. You either get mvp because your team is on top or you get it because of production which is it?

I'm dead serious. I've watched Westbrook since he was at UCLA. Remember him vividly. He is a great talent, but he does nothing for me personally. I am not wowed by his game or believe he is a level of talent I've seen in all-time greats. He doesn't strike fear into me if I am a coach, or opposing player. He is an electric athlete that can score. I've seen Westbrook do some of the stupidest things at the most opportunistic times like he has tourettes. He is sort of like javale mcgee at times.

This ought to get your panties in a wad: Allen Iverson in his prime is better and it isn't close. The NBA tried to handicap his game with the new palming rules as no one could guard him. You probably aren't old enough to remember his days at Georgetown and early in the NBA and into his prime years in Philly. If Westbrook can get his team to the finals as Iverson did and perform the way Iverson did against the lakers then maybe we can start talking about greatness.

Production is #1.

If it's close, then we look at the record.

This isn't rocket science if you have followed MVP voting at all you know what wins the award ......
