It's pretty easy to see what these guys are looking for in a MVP.
They look for a guy who he and/or his team performed better than expectations, which is stupid.

Instead of just admitting the expectations were wrong, we have to laud a team for doing better than we even thought they could because surely, our predictions weren't wrong, they just rose above!!!

Such elementary thinking.

So your problem is with the voters. Go start a twitter campaign. Ever hear "Don't shoot the messenger"

He's arguably the most athletic human to ever play the game of basketball. But yea, not wowed or too talented.

This ought to get your panties in a wad: Allen Iverson in his prime is better and it isn't close

I love AI. He's also a terribly inefficient shooter and way overrated defender, probably below average on that side of the ball.

Ever thought of giving your opinions, just spouting those of voters?

I'm telling you who is gonna win the award based off of how the voters vote.

No shite AI is better. He's one of the best scorers ever. I think mj and Kobe are better to. That's still not a knock on Westbrook though

When we are talking about who is gonna win MVP I'd say that what the voters consider when voting is pretty important.

Yet he was a winner. Not just a little above average winner, but led a team defunct of talent to the finals and beat one of the best teams every assembled on their home floor in a Game 1 for the ages. He was big-time when it mattered. Yes, he was inefficient at times, but he didn't do mind altering stupid things like Westbrook does at times. He does, period. I use to be a big fan, no lie. I'm not joking, but his seemingly random dumb "McGee lite" moments convince me he is too spastic out there to ever be anything except a stat sheet stuffer. He is like a spastic colon that operates efficiently and soundly for maybe 2 or 3 days and then one day it just goes off the rail and you think you are dying-also known as IBS.

Ever watch him play defense? Ask Larry Brown if AI never did anything utterly stupid on defense.

He led his team to the finals with garbage. That is how. Philly became relevant again because of he and Larry Brown. I can guarantee you that Iverson would work Westbrook over in his prime. Allen Iverson was extraordinary as a ball-handler and scorer for his size. And athletically speaking they aren't that different at all. Iverson was a freak athletically himself. The man was considered the next Dion Sanders in high school and one of the best quarterbacks in the nation his senior year with the likes of Ronald Curry and Michael Vick in his own backyard. He ran a 4.3 and his vertical was better than Westbrooks at 41".

I seen both play at their respective peaks and Iverson was way better.

Both got to the Finals. AI had a worse cast.

AI is a winner. Westbrook is a loser.

Good talks!!!

Does efficiency matter in that comparison?
