but I think that's about par for the course no matter where you live.
Yeah this isn't true. I cannot remember the last time I had to avoid hitting a pot hole while driving around Scottsdale. 5 minutes after being back in LA I've already dodged like 10

Where specifically did they live that the roads were bad and the sides of the streets where dirty?
Why won't you answer any of my questions?
Nurse I've asked you several questions in this thread that you are avoiding to answer. Why is that?

Most parts of Baton Rouge.
South BR near where my aunt lives at(off Jones creek). Hell my uncle was bitching about the pot holes when I was last there. Talked about how he had called the city 5 times about one down the street from them (and they live is a nice neighborhood) but nothing was done.
Pot holes everywhere when I had to drive up to st Francisville as well.

So within 5 minutes of being back in Louisiana you hit 10 potholes?
Where are those potholes?

If so...that area got hit HARD during the flood.
Does it flood a lot in that area?

I'd live in the PNX metro over everywhere in Louisiana not called New Orleans. And New Orleans probably has the worse roads in the state, meaning pot holes are at the bottom of the list on reasons I'd choose to live somewhere.

I would never move here if I hadn't been born here. Yes, the food is good, it has LSU sports, and the people are generally friendly, but the heat is horrible, the humidity oppressive, the topography boring and the bugs insufferable.
I plan on moving when I retire to a state that has seasons and better roads.

Ignore tb08. I always get a kick out of his posts in these types of threads. Even things people generally agree need improvement on in LA he is capable of denying in his own mind.
I would watch a tv show where tb08 just travels the country pointing out that Louisiana does it better. "Philadelphia, you're alright, but we've got way better bells in NOLA."

He clearly is blind as a bat if he doesn't think LA has horrible roads and a horrible litter problem. You will never hear a visitor to LA say "wow, the roads here are sooo clean!" (well maybe if the visitor is from some third world country, then LA roads do look clean compared to them).
Asking me to point out specific locations of potholes. I mean, wtf?! The point is....I don't think/worry about hitting a pothole when I'm driving around in Scottsdale/PHX because they are not a concern here....but I'm always on the lookout for them whenever I visit LA.

Not fair to compare the infrastructure of LA and AZ. Giving most of ours is much much older on top of having some of the worst substrate it isn't build on in America. I would imagine AZ's roads cost a fraction of what it cost in La and that isn't even considering the fact we have more bridges per capita than any other state in the union by a LARGE margin

That has nothing to do with the litter problem in LA though. If you don't think LA has a litter problem...it just means you have gotten used to seeing that much trash along the sides of the road. You think that is normal.
Go live in other states....it really is not.
