Moonlight is about gay love, Hollywood eats that up.

Hidden Figures and Hacksaw Ridge were the best of the nominees IMO.

I really want to see this movie. I'm surprised it was nominated for anything because I've heard it shows Christianity in a positive light. Hollywood simply cannot award something like that nowadays.

Anyone just see what happened at the Oscars?I turned it on for best picture announcement and these professionals pulled a Steve Harvey. The announced the wrong winner for best picture.

Could not have happened to a nicer bunch of political liberal progressives. Karma.

really the only time I remember them mentioning religion or making a deal of it was when people were giving Doss a hard time about being so devout or when he was being devout. It wasn't really that religious.

So instead of actually giving it to the best picture they chose a gay black movie since BLM and those types complained about not enough minorities in the oscars?

I mean...who would even want to win if you have to get it through the misguided pity of soft racism?

Oh, I've not seen it and was just going on what a lady in Sunday School was telling us this morning. She said she usually hates war movies but that she really loved Hacksaw Ridge because of its message. Either way, I really want to see it.

If only the star had been autistic they would have hit the Hollywood trifecta. They would have just cancelled the show and given all the awards to Moonlight and try to force everyone to watch it.

The movie that won looks like it would be boring and stupid. I probably won't see it ever.

I mean, by all accounts it's a great movie. Now should it have won is for the Academy voters but I've never heard anyone say the movie is bad in anyway.
