Since the only cast member I have ever heard of is that gross black woman no I guess I don't keep up with it.

You can gauge it's worth by comparing its cast's talents to those of the early cast. Since all I am familiar with is leslie jones that doesn't promote watching the current show.

Mam=ybe millenials just aren't funny.

As political as they have become

there seems to be a massive writer problem in entertainment right now.

SNL
Daily Show
Colbert
Wilmore
Smantha B
etc...

There is no clever humor or thought out discussion. I can't find it but someone posted an article the other day that was discussing the difference between the daily show with and without Stewart.

With Stuart, it was clever. Sure, he was left leaning, but he had some unbiased pieces and he was great at debate. Remember when he tore Fox News apart on their own show? He had some very liberal moments, but his pieces were done extremely well. They were researched and fleshed out and usually he explained both sides even if he didnt agree with one. It was a mix of political satire and humor and honest debate.

With Noah, and further expanded to current comedy writers, there is no subtlety or clever edge. It's all just biased liberalism jammed into your throat delivered with an attitude that tells you you are a stupid lesser human if you disagree with the joke teller. Colin Jost's smug arrogance on Weekend Update embodies this.

I always point to that panel on Noah's show that had some dumb frick comedian on and Bill Nye. Bill Nye kept trying to discuss the importance of NASA and the Mars missions and what they could mean to our future, and the fat retard who i think was a writer on Noah's show kept saying "Whats on Mars? Alien porn? You tryna watch Aliens bang?" "What about educatin our chillen? Mars gonna do dat?!"

That's not clever. It isnt funny. It has no merit.

I was blown away by the sheer stupidity and the absolute disrespect and ignorance shown to Bill Nye, the audience and Trevor Noah himself however ate it up and couldnt stop laughing.

In the mid 80's. And it wasn't politics, it just sucked.

that was Larry wilmores nightly show not Noah.

The rest of your point is taken.

SNL used to be rebels now they're just a bunch of liberal cheerleaders doing a diffferent version of the same jokes everyone else is doing.

Kate McKinnon is funny but that eulogy they did after Hillary lost was just dumb.

They can have it.

ETA: browsing the headlines on mediaite I'm pretty sure I won't watch SNL for a very long time. They sang 'Thank you Sir' as a farewell song to Obama. Good God.

Weekend update has become unwatchable. Norm MacDonald must be rolling over in his grave

The opposite actually. Those liberal hippies at SNL need to be boycotted

You want to boycott something that says mean things and it offends you. That's the definition of snowflake. Whining from a conservative perspective is still whining.

I have a liberal friend who has just discovered (since Trump won) that SNL was "wonderful." "Why didn't anyone tell me that SNL was funny again!"

He overplayed his hand with his tweet about Leslie Jones being a "delight".

I didn't even vote for the guy, but it's turned into a 90 minute Trump dartboard. It gets old quick

i turned it on last night for the first time in years. Really only because I happened to see it on.

I lasted 2 minutes. It was awful and cringe worthy.

Wrong. It's unfunny drivel with no comedic merit. It has nothing to do with the liberalism.

I was good early. Then great. Then it died and had a huge resurgence. Once again it's on life support and simply not funny. It has to be nostalgia that keeps it going because it's certainly not comedic content anymore.

Yes. That is normal behavior.

quote:

That's the definition of snowflake.
He isn't demanding that it be taken off the air, is he?

Because is snowflake behavior.

Hell, a snowflake would demand that his cable provider air a blank screen on NBC during that timeslot to prevent him from accidentally seeing it.

A normal person just says, "I don't like that, so I will watch something else."

The snowflake says, "I don't like that, so nobody should be allowed to watch it."

Are you suggesting that the Montgomery Bus Boycott was a bunch of snowflakes?

I don't like brussell sprouts, therefore I don't eat them. Does that make me a snowflake?

That would give people like the OP more reason to complain about it.
