Not sure how I feel about the forthcoming nfrastructure stimulus.

Hearing a lot about Trump pushing through a major stimulus to build roads, bridges, ports and airports. Obviously we are going to have to pay for this with taxes.
When Obama did this in 2009, I wasn't entirely opposed to it, but I can't name one single thing that it bought which benefitted me.
What is the poll board view? Obviously our infrastructure is old and decaying and needs to be modernized.

It'll be ok...We're gonna consumer spend like its 1925, 1953, and 1986
Wall Street will be the Wild West again, and teenage girls will be smoking cigarettes inside of department stores after school.
Note the 30 year cycles... #history

One of the few things the Federal Govt should be doing.

That was not one-time money, the stimulus money is still in the budget and compounding annually.

Obama's spending re 'Infrastructure' ("shovel-ready jobs") was little more than a slush fund for Dem Operatives/Organizations. Trump's will be the real deal.
They are going to inflate the money enough to cover interest on the Debt. We may as well get something for that money. I'm for citizens WORKING to rebuild critical infrastructure. Win-win.

Infrastructure investment is probably better than most government investments.
BUT if they're going to do it, we need to hold them accountable for doing it efficiently, although that may be too idealistic.

Maybe not. Trump has a penchant for doing things the right way it appears when it comes to building stuff.

Trump is a builder... he builds the biggest and the best... that's what he does, and I have 100% faith it's what he will do

There's already a lot of money from gasoline taxes to start this. All of the gas tax used to go to roads only in the 80's. The Democrats moved the money to city buses, railroads, inner city transportation, studies for Environmental Protection, studies[by Democratic donors] for the Interior and Parks, all wasted. All of the Gas Tax needs to go to roads only. That's how we voted in the 80's, it all got moved to Liberal Democrat projects.

Who gives a shite...we re already running a $20T deficit $1T more ain't going to make a hells bit of differerence at this point. It's all imaginary figures anyway. Need more money just print more!

Obama's stimulus was lampooned by the right, not because it was a massive expenditure of public money during a recession, not because it added money to the deficit, but because the money did not go to what Obama said it would go to.
We need major infrastructure investment in this country. Our highways are overburdened, our bridges are aging, most of our dams aren't even inspected regularly and could be on the brink of collapse and we wouldn't even have a clue. We are dying for infrastructure and our state and local governments cannot keep up with the demand either.
If Trump wants a massive stimulus package for infrastructure, as long as that money actually goes to infrastructure rather than paybacks to campaign contributors like Jamaican rum distillers and solar panel manufacturers, then it will be something I can support despite it being a massive government expense. Transportation infrastructure is one of the few things virtually all Americans can agree is within the federal government's scope of enumerated powers. It's basically the only thing that the federal government does that we all benefit from and is completely uncontroversial.

Obama spent 3% of his stimulus on infrastructure, and 97% on boosting various kinds of welfare programs. That's not an exaggeration.

Trump can take the stimulus money that congress and Obama left in the budget and move it to infrastructure...

This is classically how good programs are undermined and lose their ability to do what they were designed for.
Social Security is exactly the same it has been robbed, stolen from and devalued and made available to it seems anyone.

Areas that heavily support Democrats benefitted the most.

It would be nice if I could go to someone's house in New Orleans without neighborhood streets treating my car like I was driving through 1945 Berlin
