It was only ~$2800, but I wanted to toot my own horn a little bit for keeping my debt low. Time to start making money now that I'm free

Congrats. We got my wife's Student loan paid off a few months back.
We are 1 year into a 5 year debt free plan. We re evaluated and factored in increases in pay and now we are 3.5 years from debt free.

I don't know if he'd let me on the air with that chump change

I hope your name starts with Dr. or you made some funky decisions along the way.

Good job.. Can't wait to get mine off my back and I've only been out of school for a year
Paying twice the minimum payment and still feel like I'm not even making a dent.

Congrats bro. I've been debt free for a year now. Don't ever plan to go back.

I paid mine off within 6 months of graduating (chump change in the grand scheme of things).......then I married into the motherload of student loans

Luckily I married my wife before she started her 4 years of professional school, so I've paid her school as she goes rather than inheriting a ton of student loans+interest upon our marriage.
It still sucks to cut the check every 4 months, but it's better than the alternative. Our last payment will be in January, super pumped about that.

I've got 2200 left of 17,000 from when I got out three years ago. I still owe my mom 40k but it's at 0 percent and I'll pay it off whenever

I have never taken out a loan in my life. Hopefully any future wife (big if there) won't have student loans

It's not terrible if you take a loan for the right reasons, but I hate owing people money so I pay them off with the quickness.
I paid my student loans off so aggressively that I don't have a ton of liquid savings. I met a girl I want to marry and now I'm having to save for a ring like a poor :(
