Let's be honest. The characters on the video game look nothing like the real players.

If we want to go down that route. ESPN is profiting off the actual players. They have been for years. They make money off if all the games and talk shows they have centered around college athletics.

Where is the outcry?

Let's be honest, the fact that the graphics don't/can't create photo realistic depictions of the players is a terrible argument in a legal likeness case.

I think we might get one in 2018...

EA NCAA FOOTBALL FUTURE

I saw another video on youtube where a guy talks about some cool changes when it comes to recruiting, road to the heisman, and different button actions when it comes to running, catching, playing defense...

True, but the court proceedings took years and they took months to dish out the checks...

I just don't see their never being another NCAA football game...

I wish Madden would give capabilities like 2k did. Just allow full customization of everything. People would create and load college teams with the quickness.

This isn't likely at all, but probably more realistic than the making of another college game actually happening.

I would probably spend more time playing ncaa on ps3 than I do on all ps4 games combined honestly. My ps3 crapped out, while I was playing ncaa in an online dynasty actually.

This site had probably one of the best dynasty leagues you could ask for. shite lasted forever, and may still be going. Was really fun as hell.

The ONLY reason its gone is bc of the legal issues. Because the society we live in now will try to make a buck off of anything possible.

Thank Sam Keller for not having NCAA anymore.

Because of his lawsuit, other non-talented undrafted players joined in, and to avoid the lawsuit, the NCAA and the conferences told EA they couldn't use their names and logos anymore.

but to have people shell out $60 a year for the same game with a slightly different gimmick and stats is what killed them all.

Pretty sure it was the fact that there were legal issues concerning using the likeness of the players.

This! All they had to do is just randomize the players physical features, but keep the attributes the same. If a guy was 6'5, make him 6'3. If he was black, make him white . If he was 250, make him 220 and so on. Leave in the edit option and roll from there. The community would have made the corrections anyways.

This.

If "RB 7" is a 6-1, 235-pound junior from New Orleans, it will look silly for EA to say it's just coincidence and it's a random person.

If the jersey numbers, measurements, and hometowns don't march anyone on the roster, it really is random. The correct information would be crowdsourced like before. It would just be more work. If they don't get an NCAA license, the workload goes up a little more. You have to change the Baton Rouge Bandits to the LSU Tigers.

The gaming community is big enough to handle it.

Exactly. I don't understand why no one at EA was smart enough to understand this way back 2010

Truth. People don't realize how badly the series started to sell.

Last one didn't even sell 2 million copies. Madden ships nearly twice that on day 1. Enough to keep making them, but it's not this huge cash cow that FIFA and Madden are.
