Yes after the Wisconsin debacle Miles is coaching for his job every game this year. He needs to go 10-2 or better unless there are some VERY extenuating circumstances to why he lost more than 2 games. And if he does go 10-2 and our only other loss is Bama, as long as it isn't an embarrassing loss to Bama I think he survives. But if he gets blown out by Bama at home then no I think that might push it over the edge even if he does go 10-2.

Every morning when I first open up TD or Dandy Don, I have the thought that today could be the day that the era ending announcement is made. I have to say I kind of feel mixed emotions because while I think CLM does not "do" modern football or know how to coach it, and that he isn't a really good game day coach or evaluator or user of the vast talent he recruits, I also really, really like him as a person and do believe he has loved LSU, even when LSU has not loved him in return.

What is etched in my mind (and I suspect the minds of knowledgable LSU fans) is that image of Harris throwing that game ending interception. The fact LSU lost that game because Les Miles kept Harris in the game way to long cannot be erased from the minds of many sportscasters and pundits. That Wisconsin debacle will haunt LSU all this season.

Subsequent video of the game shows Harris repeatedly put his offensive line in a difficult situation simply because he wouldn't stay in the pocket. I mean he kept dropping back out of his OL protection. This allowed the Wisky defensive to blow past the LSU OL and just clobber Harris repeatedly. The Miles response to this was to send Fournette into the mouth of the beast (stacked box), Whereupon he got hurt. LSU is lucky Fournette heals fast.

Is Miles' Job on the Line Every Week? Absolutely.

Yes his job is on the line. Winning is the only thing that saves him. I would expect even a Mark Richt type of 9-3 season with nothing to show for it would be enough to move on after this year.

He knew going into the season it was a season thing..

I would not be happy keeping him if he loses another game.

I want LSU to win out though.

10 wins with no division title may not even keep him from being fired. So, yes, he's coaching for his job every single week.

No, this is just all the negatigers hoping he is on the hot seat. LSU has 12 million reasons to keep him through the 2017 season.

Yes, until he proves he's really turned the corner in his coaching philosophy, which may never happen.

again a lot of big money people wanted les gone last year and were defeated. why would they get their way this year?

you realize it was the average fan that chanted leslie's name in TS last year?

the chants helped saved his job.

the average fan that goes to TS still likes les.

Under no circumstances will the LSU admins fire Les if we end up 10-2. It won't even be considered. Doesn't matter whether we go to the SECCG or not, 10-2 does not get you fired at LSU. Probably would not get you fired at any other SEC school either.

Miles supporters need to come to the realization that Les will be fired at the end of the season.

Just accept it ...

First of all,

We lost the opener to Wisconsin and looked pretty pedestrian.

We've won the last 2, and last week's win over Miss St should have been by 20, but it wasn't.

Our schedule only gets harder.

My eyes tell me we're an average team. I do see some supremely talented players, but overall, we're average.

Now, if Etling can play 4 quarters the way he did the first half against Miss St, we have a chance at 10 wins.

Otherwise, Miles is in trouble because our schedule only gets tougher and at this point there is no reason to believe that this team can challenge Alabama for the West.

So I think, YES, Miles is in real trouble.

Secondly, the fanbase has really soured on Les, and rightfully so. We've had enough of the poor offense and eeking out sloppy wins against lesser opponents to last us a lifetime.

Les has about 2 more weeks to turn the 2016 Tigers into a real contender, a real fire breathing dragon or I think he'll be shown the door.... probably at season's end. Our schedule is just too tough.

Losing either of the next 2 games puts us in real jeopardy of a 7-5 or 6-6 season.....

with 17 returning starters and back-to-back-to-back Top 10 recruiting classes.

I think I heard the same in 09. I know I heard that last yr. Jimbo was on the way and Miles was out the door. How did that work out again??

For a lot of reasons, I don't see Miles going anywhere.

Just accept it.
