Saw this on reddit:

quote:

Be drunk, deep fry an eggo waffle, fold it once slightly cooled, and fill it like a taco with strawberry ice cream.

I'm just enough of a fatass to try this

You should do homemade donuts

This. A friend's mom had one when I was a kid and she used to make awesome donuts whenever I spent the night. Find a recipe for applesauce donuts. They rule.

Soft shelled crab. It's remarkably cheap compared to what you would pay in a restaurant.

Careful with that fryer!

2 years ago I broke out my deep fryer when I had an over abundant garden. It's what any good Louisiana native would do after all: batter and deep fry healthy fresh veggies.

Blew out my gallbladder, suffered and waited through a full calendar year before calling 911 for emergency lap-chole. The year long wait actually resulted in co-morbidity of pancreatitis it turns out.

So here I am still suffering 2 years from the fryer. And pancreatitis means means no alcohol, zero, zip, zilch. Means altering normal diet too, no cheese grits. No thick, rich, creamy gravies or desserts.

Careful with fryer Eugene!

i thought this would be gross but I tried it at a restaurant and it was actually really good: fried rice dressing balls. They made rice dressing, put in fridge to tighten, made balls about the size of ping pong balls, rolled them in bread crumbs and flash fried.

I do them all the time. You'll have to determine your level of fried. Play around with it. I'm glad 8 come to a pack.
